hi puzzled
usually when i go out i have my friend with me but we make a great pair lol she is as bad as i am, she has had 2 dvt's in her lower leg within the last year and has a lot of pain and balance problems with that, so if 1 falls, we both fall lol
luckily i am still able to drive but with this weather its getting harder to do with not so many roads being gritted so don't know how much longer I'll be able to do that for but it beats walking lol and if all else fails, i can send the kids out to the shops and the OH for the school runand i can stay in, in front of the fire with the cats and dog for company

Hi
Sorry to hear you've decided to come off them...
I took one, it made me really thirsty so I got out of bed and went to get a drink. Ended up with a sudden dizzy spell falling down the stairs, which wasn't fun, so I've been in bed the last few days.
I'm feeling sensitive, but my OH has convinced me to give them another try, so I'm cautiously trying to get used to them. My dr did warn me that I'd be tired for the first two or three weeks with them...
CWAT I hope your dad is okay?
Hi everyone elseSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Thank you saucy etc for asking after Dad.
Dad came home looking terribly grey and frail. He's broken a bone in his upper arm - not sure which as there is Noro Virus at the hospotal so he was in on his own - his wife had to wait outside and he got confused with the results. He's at fracture clinic on Friday so hopefully we'll get clearer info then. Phoned him tofay and he's on a lot of pain, poor love. His wife is annoyed with him as she told him not to go out in case .... etc etc, so she's doing an I told you so and all I care about is that my Dad is hurt and in pain. Her and I approach things in very different ways, but she does take good care of him in her own way and is very patient with him (she's 15 years younger than him so can't be easy).
Hope I will see him tomorrow.
Feeble wave hello no new faces - nice to have you here.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hi everyone,
I thought I would just pop in for a quick coffee.I hope everyone had a good xmas and that the new year is a good one.I don't post much just read and run.As some of you know I spend my life(hehehehe) on face book but do try and read every few days.My coccyx/bottom of spine is giving me gyp at the moment so can't walk far and is up setting my bowel and /bladder me thinks it's time to press for better diagnosis. When I stopped work I though alot of the pain would go because not lifting etc but seems to be getting worse again !!! Any way that's my tale of woe.
I do hope we hear something about Sharon soon ,
Take care all you with snow,we have NON much to James's disappointment.
love me xxx0 -
thanks for the update CWTA i hope your dad is feeling better soon!
Saucy, im in so much pain today, i know that the tablets made me comatose but im thinking that might be better than this! I really dont want to be signed off and am waiting for a call back from the Dr, but if he says that i need to persevere with them i think im gonna have to get him to sign me off, then ill drive up to the BF's house and try to get used to them, not doing it down here on my own!!!!
Am hoping that the Dr will come back and say there is something that i can do to counter the effects and that it will only last a few weeks, i mean, being comatose is not good surely?
Feel like im stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment!0 -

I'm fed up of the tiredness too, I'm sitting in bed but I was up until 4, they seem to alternate between keeping me awake and making me so tired I fall asleep while walking. The dr and pharmacist are adamant the tiredness will go...
I think going to your BFs and letting him help you is a good ideaSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
im back, Dr called, turns out i do have a dodgy thing with morphine, its on my records etc but i still get prescribed a morphine type drug ..........
Anyway, thats another argument lol
How are you feeling now Saucy?
I have just been out (thanks to my wonderful boss) and picked up a new prescription for (drumroll please .................) Dihydrocodeine 30mg tablets.
Hopefully they will help, i can live with the constipation the nurse warned me about, just not this pain now!
I have also picked up one of those wheat filled heat packs that go in the micro, it was only £5 and if it helps while im sat at work (heat is best for me personally) then hopefully im on to a winner.
Now, am gonna wait til lunch and will then be taking my shiney new tablets with food as instructed
...................................................
Just before i post, reading the instruction leaflet, these tablets may cause drowsiness ..... here we go again?0 -
Bubbles, where are you? You can get two wheat packs for £5 from The Works...Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0
