Morning all
New tablets seem to be working ok??? Still got some pain but am conscious and that is a definate bonus.
Am hoping that after a couple of days the meds will build up and ill benefit
That heat thingy that i bought yesterday is amazing!!! was sat at my desk yesterday afternoon thinking how lovely it was on my back, made a heck of a difference for me!
Hope everyone is holding up ok in the weather!
Saucy, How are you?
CWTA, hope your dad is ok!
Trilia, have you heard anything more about your house?
Puzzled x0 -
Bubbles, I've got to wait about a week and a half from now for the current tenant to leave and return his keys and the surveyors to go in and make sure the place is habitable and fix anything that might need fixing, then I get to meet up with the guy from the council, sign papers and get keys. Which reminds me, I need to go into the town hall for some of the HB transfer paperwork today.
Should be moved in by the start of February - it looks like my birthday party and my housewarming may get to be combined this year.
Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -
oooh, hope the wait goes quickly for you!
Definately a combined house warming/birthday0 -
Quiet in here today, though it's so cold outside and that tends to keep us all hiding in beds
My crutch tips came today, they're so cute! I've not tried them out outside yet, but inside in the kitchen I couldn't get them to slip even if I wanted to! Will update when I've had a play outside!0 -
Well, I overdid things today.....did a bit of a spring (ok winter) clean in my kitchen and went a bit mad.
Now, my back is agony and I am barely able to stand upright, let alone walk without the weird shuffle! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Hope you are feeling better SUE
Invasion, how do you avoid the blisters on your hands with crutches? i havent been on them for ages but always end up with really horrible hands
Black paw, hope the electricity is back on today! It makes you realise just how dependant we are on it nowadays! Well done to BF for bringing you chips
As for me, not convinced these new tablets are making any difference at all .... im still in pain, about a 5 or 6 on my scale so easy enough to keep going but every now and then its shooting up. Just hope the neurologist has something useful to say on Friday!0 -
In a word? Sore!
Woke up this morning and discovered my arms were protesting a little (ok a lot), my neck has joined the party, my fingers are refusing to work as I want them to (posting is taking ages as I have to keep going back and correcting)....and I am still doing the weird shuffle.
I had been planning on a Winter clean of my front room today but think it will just have to be the 'normal' pick up the lego and push the hoover across the floor....don't really feel up to that to be honest but the ex mother in law from hell is round tonight and she tuts if it hasn't been done.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. So how is everyone this evening?
I'm still stiff and sore and after pandering to my ex mother in law and doing a good clean of the front room, even more stiff and sore than I was this morning! All I feel like doing is sleeping/resting, so exhausted it's almost like trudging through sludge to do anything right now.
Anyway, have to be up early in the morning as eldest has a hospital appointment but because he had an exam due to start at 8.45 and the hospital appointment at 9.50, they have made special arrangements to start his exam at 8am instead...so it means muggins here has to be up earlier than normal to make sure he gets his bottom out of bed in time.
I must make sure I remember to take the report from his physio for the paediatrician, it has suggested referrals on it....knowing me, I will get halfway to the hospital and realise it is still sitting by the computer! We made it! SingleSue did you remember to take the report with you?
Something that we always do, if we need to take something with us next time we go out, is to put it by the front door. Even paperwork; it gets put in a plastic filing wallet and put leaning against the panel beside the door, so that we'll see it.
If you do this though, make sure to tell the other members of the household, so that they won't tidy it away for you!
It's a tip from a book "Time Management for System Administrators" by Thomas Limoncelli, which Mr LW bought for himself, but I've also read. (Mainly because Mr LW was laughing at times as he read it - it's actually very readable, and much of the stuff in there can be applied to "energy management" iyswim).
DISCLAIMER: I have no connection with this book or the author, I just think it's a darned good read; you can skip the "techie" bits.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
