Hello, my name is LameWolf and I'm a games-a-holic.:rotfl:

Currently helping Mr LW play through Dragon Age Origins, and also have my own game of Oblivion on the go, both on the PC.

There's something very satisfying about bashing the living carp out of trolls, ogres, goblins and other assorted monsters I reckon, specially when some know-it-all consultant has failed to listen to a word you say, yet again.:D

Paw Mr LW and I have often had to ring each others' mobiles to try to locate them; never had to ferret in the dustbin, though.:rotfl:

Interesting that you're all into games, I love playing the Sims, but it's so easy to overdo it and make myself feel rubbish after. I also like Animal Crossing on the Wii.

Currently have suspected swine flu, high temp, more achey than usual, more headachey than usual, weaker and less energy, plus sleeping and being sick. Niiiiice. I'm doing much better than Dad though, he's asthmatic and it's hit him really hard, also, with him being male- MANFLU- he moans a whole lot more too ;)

Amazingly glad to have new bed now! it's nice and big, room for netbook to stay on the bed without falling off, lots of room and it's just lovely :D

    Hope everyone's doing ok...
Sorry to hear about your mum morag and all the stress that goes with that!

I love games, too. Currently playing my way through Lost Odyssey on the Xbox 360 - I'm a jRPG nut.

Concerts both went well, but ye gods am I tired now! *flops out*

I'm another sims buff, finally got a decent enough 'puter to play Sims 3 and DH has got me the expansion for Xmas (still waiting for it to arrive and ordered it early last week!!)

Been a bit off lately, very busy at work so just trying to maintain the happy medium till my 2 week holiday in Jan.

Had my Mum and Dad up at the weekend!! :D Was lovely seeing them as last time I saw them was July :( Going home for one week in Jan, mainly so Mum can take me out in the sales and find me some new clothes, I haven't really got anything I can wear anymore as a lot of my winter stuff are turtle necks but the tight ones and I cant seem to wear them anymore as they feel like they are choking me  need the turtle necks but with the big floppy collar :)
Was a brill weekend, but 1, paying for it now and 2, I hate it when they have to go home :(

Hope everyone is ok, tray of warm drinks left on the table while I run off back to work again :( xxx

Awww, Invasion poor you - nasty piggy pox.:( Hope you feel lots better soon.

Trialia glad the concerts were good; get plenty of rest and recharge your batteries.

Bevan I know what you mean about feeling like tight-necked clothes are choking you. I can't stand anything on my neck.

Got the Washing Machine Doctor coming tomorrow, as my machine is poorly sick.:( Hopefully he can make it better. Mr LW has blagged his way into working from home, as I can't deal with visitors on my own.:o

Only three more days of work and I finish for two weeks!! Yay!!

I've put in a request with my manager under the DDA that I take a half hour lunch, and leave at 4.30pm, as I really struggle between 4-5.

She's going to discuss it with her manager. Eep! I work through my lunch anyway and usually take about 10/15 mins - so I thought I could make it official, and help me. :)

Yup. Mum died in Sept (hence Lady Anne) and had a 1 bed bungalow. When she moved there, she couldn't sell her 2 bed terrace so she got a buy to let mortgage and rented it out. We intended to continue the rental but the tenant gave notice 2 weeks ago

My escapism is mainly sudoku, spider solitaire and lurking on MSE and I'd be lost without my lappy  I've done all my Christmas shopping on line this year:D
I'm wondering at the mo at what point entertainment and hobbies become escapism? I have been spending an awful lot of time playing on them, to the point of doing nothing else - even my xstitch atm.

Hopefully you get the houses sorted out - I feel for you. I hate moving, and the whole idea of selling houses at the same time is mega daunting. I'm really dreading that part of the coming year, getting Mil&DH's house on the market etc...incl convincing MIL that smoking during that period is NOT going to go down well - with prospective buyers or me!

There's not been much Christmas shopping required this year tbh cos I've done a lot of gift recycling, and I've stocked up through previous years, so I've been raiding the boxes for that. Other bits are just poundland, or knock of market purchases...which I need to do a bit more of tomorrow... I fully intended to do everything online when I did my ankle in, but we really don't have the money to be buying anything and it's a good job I wasn't as prepared as normal or we'd have hefty bills we can't pay now!:o

I could never get into Animal Crossing (on DS)...I just didn't see the point tbh  The Sims I could play for ages, but I think Farmville (through FB although I think you can play on it's own site independantly now) beats it, cos there are challenges etc too and it's more interactive with other people (through fb at least).

I hope the Oinkers bogs off sharpish! For you and your dad!

I think that one of the things that changes when we get/realise/accept that we're ill is our attidute to clothes. I can't deal with hard seams or hard fabrics, big (ger than joggers for eg.) seams down the back of pants - which then aggrivate my coccyx, shorter than near enough thigh length tops (which therefore are less likely to ride up and expose your kidneys to cold), or anything near the neck/underarm glands are a complete no no! Speaking of which - I bought some boots yesterday! :D Only £17.99 and they're like fabric/fleecelined welly's pretty much! Keep my ankles and calves warm, are flexible and comfortable, and have a waterproof gripped sole. I'm well happy with them, especially as I have trouble finding boots that I a) like b) can get my calves in c) are comfortable around the ankle joint when you actually dare to walk! ;) I know we don't have [STRIKE]much[/STRIKE] any money atm, but I feel that decent, warm, gripped footwear is a tad of an essential...esp when you have the sort of health issues we do!

Poohbear and Trialia nice to see you :)

Jaz I hope they agree to the best thing for you! :)

 to anyone I forgot or haven't mentioned :)

For me, escapism sets in when RL means I don't enjoy/can't concentrate on things like reading, xstitch etc so games is the only way to take my mind off stuff

Agree abt clothes - really miss wearing jeans and belts but back hurts if I wear them for longer than half a day

Where did you find the boots? they sound like a real bargain :D

Posted all my card today so I'm feeling smug and self satisfied.....

  • re games my fav pasttime too. face book games currently, intend to play the heck out of the new zelda an dprrof layton for ds over next couple weeks (ahem im assuming sister will lend me the money to buy them at the airport). i tend to play a game constantly to the extent of postponing everything else, until i complete it or gte stuck and am forced to have abreak.

re clothes round the neck....the last few years i ahvent even been able to wear my hoodies much as the hoods pull and it feels like im chocking in the same way polo necks or tight tees do. i thought i was just weird, nice ot know its not just me.

running off again now to start working throuhg my list of to do things as they must be done this morning or im out of time til next year.
