Quiet by the looks of things! Hope everyone's doing ok :)

Mine's been a rubbishy day, I wonder if the extra energy from the Lyrica is wearing off and all the extra- annoyingly mundane!- things that I did are catching up with me... Hope not!! Managed a bath this morning, and downhill from there. Sucks.

Had first freecycle experience... Got rid of some cuddly toys and a started latch hook winnie the pooh rug. 2 responses almost straight away, one with text speak- despite being a teenager I cannot stand it ;) so other lady got it. Hopefully she's coming Friday.

Bed that I ordered with "35 days delivery" last week, is being delivered Sat, so having to panic buy all that's needed! argh! duvet cover and sheet have been bought, as has memory foam topper, still have to get duvet though, but other than that, all sorted. I feel so organised ;)

Clearly I think lack of people is an excuse to talk ;)

Just to say I've been handbell ringing at a Day Centre in Cheshunt. The elderly residents all joined in heartily and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere.
Although I am no longer confined to a wheelchair I do remember the times when I was and how difficult it was to arrange outings.
We even took plastic bells that light up and made the residents made sounds that did not resemble carols but were a joy to play and listen to.
Thought you might like a few bell carols by the fire in the cafe.

M.E, glad you had a good time! :) and thankyou PCL ;)

Man aliiive, I think Freecycle attracts rude people, Jaz, I now know what you mean!
Didn't have my listing as Taken, as lady hadn't confirmed, logged onto my email this morning to find 2 more requests, one with: "would like, contact me on XXXXX or XXXXX" No please, no thankyou, no anything! Plus, I'm not phoning mobile numbers to arrange for her to pick something up free! Latch hook rug was £40 new, only has 5 lines done, all materials there. Cuddlies are vgc, used, but nice.

In all fairness some seem to be more polite, but seriously, I'd never dream of talking to anyone like that!

New duvet and pillows today, sent dad out for them with £10 off voucher from storage unit I bought a while ago, and he LOST IT! Not so good with the moneysaving ;) Anyway, duvet had £5 off, and pillows are FAB! Huge, bounceback and just lovely, and 2 free!

Better day today, went to college this am- out the house for 10am, was literally a roll out of bed and try to get dressed job, zombie :p we had and experiment with... maggots. The boys were putting them down each others backs, in bags, MADNESS! :p they're all at least 17, two are 21/24! They are not 5.... ;)

Still alive. Had that assessment today - said they're upping my priority but it still may take a while. Argh.

Oh, and I have two concerts in rapid succession over this coming weekend (Sunday & Monday) so I'm not going to be around online a whole lot. Tapped out! *flops*

If something is popular, I will knock people out the running for spelling, not bothering to make full sentences, not putting why they want it (depending what it is) or saying please/thank you. I do fall for the biggest sob story though!

Definetely! I had loads of peple give their mobile numbers. Um, no! The worst thing is when you email someone back, and then they don't respond! So I email again saying please respond by x, nothing - so I move on to the next person. Then I get a snotty email the next day saying they did want it, they just weren't at the computer.

Well, if you want something - sit by the computer for a little bit! Or keep regularly checking! I'm impatient, and you will lose out if I don't get a quick response!

Ooh, I love new pillows! Going to sleep that first night with all new stuff is lovely! Hope you had a good night's sleep. :)

Invasion you do know that little boys never grow up...... even mine is 60 going on 6.:D Ewww, maggots.

I think it's a sad fact that "please" and "thankyou" are becoming a thing of the past. Or am I old fashioned?:D

M.E well done on the handbell concert. I was going to reply yesterday, but your post had me sidetracked into Googling to find Jethro Tull's "Ring Out Solstice Bells" (anyone remember it?) and once I get sidetracked........ well, you get the idea.:D

Anyway, I'd better sign off now and go and put on some warpaint, as I have to do battle in Tesco's shortly.

Have a good weekend, everyone - specially Trialia:o Sounds like fun!

Thanks LW - you too I hope!

I got smacked across the face by a 13-year-old boy this afternoon... entirely by accident! Poor kid was ever so apologetic. I was walking past him and he threw out his arm to illustrate a point, not seeing me there... ouch! I've had a headache ever since, but I don't feel so bad about it because he was so nice about it. I like that for a pleasant change from the norm, don't you?

Poor stupid brain. Ordered new duvet cover in single not double.... oops!
Found a nicer one in Argos, and am sending dad to pick it up tomorrow. Genius.
Mattress topper not dispatched, annoying. And Freecycle lady is late.

Policeman stopped the traffic for me and the parents today in town.. we were having to cross in an awkward place due to lack of dropped curbs (just wrote crumbs!) and my hatred of going down curbs... Think he had nothing better to do and enjoyed the power :p somewhat embarassing, but something to giggle about!

Trialia, hope all goes ok this weekend!
