Hi PCL and BZ, nice to see you both, hopefully back soon?
Have had a bit of a crappy evening! Parents at a wedding so had to "cook" myself a meal, it was a ready meal that I just had to put in the oven, first it nearly slipped off the tray I put it on, then I let the pan boil dry- I was cooking pasta to go with- steam everywhere, nice smell of burning, then, upon putting meal onto plate, dropped bowl on the plate and it smashed, then I knocked the kettle over. Then I lay down on the floor in despair and got the brother to do it
On the plus side, my bed came todayHaven't seen it yet, hoping dad'll get to do it tomorrow for me, and my amazing laptop table came tooo, which means I can lie down completely and still be able to use laptop, doesn't hurt legs from holding it up... magic
I see the winter blip happens everywhere... The ME support group that mum and I run gets quiet in the winter, I have to tempt people out with fish and chipsmaybe the same works here... Hugs to all lurkers that need them!

Oh no! I would have given up too! I hate it when everything goes wrong like that when trying. Glad your brother stepped in.
I have asked for a laptop holder for Christmas - they sound great! So fingers crossed for me."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
Hi PCL and BZ, nice to see you both, hopefully back soon?
I've had a dodgy week tbh. Worked out our monthy finances and realised that we are £100 a month downSo hubby is now working something like a 60hr week over 2 jobs to pull in more money... then I worked out how much debt he (and therefore we) have....it's really not a pretty picture. Including my student loan (which if I never work again doesn't need to be paid back apparently) we owe about £46k!!! It's a long and convoluted story, but essentially the only real option I think we have is to sell his&mil's house (they have joint mortgage and homeowner loan on it) and get her into sheltered accomodation. Hubby's worked out that if we get the kind of price we're hoping for we could be debt free (apart from student loans for us both) and potentially with savings within a year of selling it!! Now we have to convince MIL that it's a positive idea....
On top of that I had the flu jab on tues which has affected me all week, along with DH being ill and having 2 days off sick in the middle of the week-remnants of which I probably got too.:o
Needless to say I'm now hoping and praying that MIL thinks it's a good idea and we can go ahead with the selling of the house in the new year, and then that everything goes to plan - that it sells quickly, that she finds housing quickly, etc... it's taken me a while to convince DH, never mind MIL, that it's a good, viable, and all-round good option!
Sucks about your tea Invasion, I would've given up too!!
 to everyone else, sorry I can't remember enough to reference back to anything you guys have been saying, but I have been lurking"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I'm another one not posting much atm cos RL is a bit too real atm. Don't get me wrong, I'm ok - just feeling a bit grumpy and overwhelmed so keeping a low profile
However, only 10 days until the days start to lengthen again :T

I'm okay thanks! The same actually. Taken the laptop to bed, but still wide awake.
I'm shattered all day, fighting to stay awake - then the opposite at bedtime!
May I ask what condition you have?"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -

It's so annoying, isn't it?
I have Borderline Personality, anxiety and suspected M.E/CFS (basically they acknowledge that I have all the symptoms of it and said that it's just a case of how far down the line to diagnose it but that it could be caused by my mental illness and exercise and Anti Ds will cure it all ).2019 Wins
