Grr, so annoyed. I'm trying to apply for the London blue badge Congestion Charge discount. I phoned earlier and said that as the postal strike was delaying things, could I send the application by email and scan all the documents needed in. She said yes and gave me an email.

I was then having trouble converting the PDF document into something I could type in - it wouldn't let me copy and paste into word, or change it into a PDF document, so I phoned back to ask how I should do it.

She said I could not email it, I was told wrong, and that if I didn't get the exemption back in time it would be my tough luck. :( Argh. Why don't places have email systems in place while the strike it on? It is the digital age after all!

Yeah, exactly. She said if it causes too many problems they may set up a fax. Yes, because everyone owns a fax. Most people these days have access to the internet in some form or another, or certainly many more that have a fax, anyway. And she told me to send it special next day, which costs a fiver! So I would be paying out £15 in total so I wouldn't have to pay the £8!! The ten admin charge I suppose I can live with, because if I go a second time it would be worth it, but £15 and the possibility of still not getting it back in time and having to shell out another £8 I don't have.

Good morning! As you can see I'm now quite grumpy, with lack of sleep, a bad stomach and the stupidity of others!

Has anyone had an MRI before? I finally have mine tonight at 6:05 (strange day and time, don't you think?!)

I have been asking for one for at least 7 years, so it's a long time coming. I am worried about having to keep still though, as I am a constant fidgeter. Does anyone know how long you have to keep still? I'm having it from my neck to my lower back.

  • it varies jazz depending on the scan, but there will be gaps in between where you can move...iirc th elongest you would be not able ot move for is only a couple or few minutes and they will tell you when to keep still.
tis a strange day and time, but its possibly a catch up on waiting list extra day.

sue how are you? hows your dads treatment going?
