BZ you are so right! I've made a promise to myself to stay away from people who drag me down and make me feel bad about myself. I hope your poor ankle is starting to improve - you must be near to climbing the walls by now.
I try ;) Me and DH have an agreement that neither of us are ever wrong, it's just that one of us might be a little bit more correct! :rotfl: Saves on arguments :p
My ankle is much the same tbh. I'm managing without painkillers, but more because of the effects on my stomach rather than choice. I think it would benefit from some anti-inflammatories, as it's still rather swollen - even my toes are swollen. Finally got an appt through for physio tho - the assessment is next wednesday arvo, so trying to work out how to get there etc... Trust me, if I could, I would be climbing them lw lol. Trying to keep to together tbh...

I've made all my Thank you cards (from the wedding)...so now to writing them all out...:cool:

Sorry I've not been around lately, it's been quite hectic around here and I havn't had much time to come online, and when I do by the time I've replied to my emails I'm exhausted and have to log off again.
I havn't caught up with all the mails I've missed, I cant even remember the last time I was on here, I hope everyones ok and I will try and catch up tomorrow

Hi suep nice to see you :)

I need to rant! My BIL has just told me that when he and sis saw my parents last weekend they got told off for not sending mum a sympathy card - she had a "bomble" on her eyelid removed, via private healthcare as elective surgery, and she admitted that she'd had it done before, like it wasn't much of a fuss. I however am/will be laid up for months, ontop of generally crappy health, and having just gotten married....and haven't got a sympathy card off them!! How on earth do the two compare?? She was actually complaining about the effects of tramadol, that they gave her for the pain, which she then swopped for nurofen? I have them on repeat for my continuous pain woman!! WTH? Am I the only one seeing a problem here? Am I being unsympathetic? Dad even sent out an email with, I kid you not, photos of mother with her entire head bandaged from this tiny little incision on her eyelid to try and gain sympathy. Who does that??

BZ that is just plain weird. If I had my head bandaged, I'd kill anyone who even picked up a camera in my presence, let alone emailing pictures of the event! It's the old story - a "one-off" event for someone healthy, however tiny, gets a shed-load of attention; whereas those of us in continuous mind-wrenching pain just chalk it up to "how life is" and get on with it.

Suep Hi, I was wondering how you were - last report was that Diamond was off her food - is she OK now? Molly Dog sends her a big tail-wag.:D

  • I completely agree, that really is bizarre...I really try not to draw attention to myself when I'm feeling and looking rubbish, I wouldn't want the whole world to see the evidence!
Royal Mail were supposed to redeliver my uni work today (they chose the date!) and didn't bother. Its at the 'local' post office, a mile away. Boyfriend would get it, but it closes at five every day, and he's in til six.
They say they will deliver it Saturday morning now. Useless people, I want to do some work!

Drives you mad, doesn't it? My Blue Badge runs out in November. I've put in my application for new one (handed it in to the council myself) but now panicking in case it gets lost due to the postal strike.
