Ahh, don't! Makes me shudder. Your poor foot. :(
I'll not tell you what I did to my knee at school then... one of my friends still wretches at the thought lol.

Oh that sucks. Just expect you to live with the pain, do they? Well, I know the answer to that - they always do!
Yep, you know it. My doctor looked at me with the "so what" eyes, and actually said "you've injured your ankle. It's going to take time to heal":angry:As if I'm not fully aware of that?!

They do have one of those seat things to lower you in if that would help?
It might help the logistics, but not my pride:rolleyes: I think I'd be better just rolled in, I think, like a beached whale or something ;)

Actually at the hydo pool, I was thrilled to find they don't have a ladder, but slowly reclining steps, with rails either side, so much easier to get in and out.
With 2 legs, that would be great...:o

But I do understand the worries and just the sheer energy it takes. Getting dressed and dry afterwards takes up energy on the best of the days, let alone when you have a specific injury that will cause balance issues.
I haven't been swimming for ages for that exact reason. Plus in summer it's too crowded and in winter it's too cold when you get out...etc etc. If I can't face it when I'm not (or not as) injured, then...well...

I just desperately want to cut Jamie's hair. It's just too big. I mean imagine sitting behind him in a theatre! John and Edward just don't have good enough vocals. I feel really sorry for them, because now the other judges are going to be harsh. But they will be going soon, I should imagine.
There's that too!! I don't know why, but instead of reading about sitting behind him in a theatre I thought you were gonna say something about him in bed?!:o:rolleyes: Really don't know why!!
Please oh please don't get me started on J&E (can't even bear to say their names!!). I really hope this is their week....to LEAVE.

bz getting seriously worried abt you now - this is not the bz we know and love ;) Think you emptied your reserves and went into overdraft on the run up to your wedding

Now I'm not suggesting happy pills, but I do think you need some serious cheering up now - not just "something to look forward to" So, what kind of thing will give you an immediate lift that's doable with a gammy foot/leg?

jaz don't be daft, post away - just remember I'm a 3 wpm typist :o

  • Casualty/Holby/whatever is doing a Lupus story at the moment. As usual, the patient presented looking like a complete headcase.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

The only things I can think of to do without moving is arts/craft/writing etc. Or maybe start to put stuff together for Christmas? There are loads of ideas on the arts and crafts type threads. Just perhaps as a distraction?

Aw, that sucks. :( I'd love to see one of these medical shows do a Fibro story, and actually handle it well. But - fat chance. It's not life threatening, so it's not of interest to them.

No, I've literally got my claim form and my doctors note, nothing else. I took it to CAB but they said they couldn't appeal it without reasons I'd been rejected etc, and to wait for them to send it. But its been nearly a month now, and I've had nothing since.

    prrrffttt...its such hard work!!

Re Strictly...I'm surprised at how little they wear! I know what you mean about the contestants, though, they need to find a way to mix it up a little or it's going to get rubbish. Tonight was like de ja vu of last year, haha.
I felt sorry for the woman that went, though, she got two votes!

Sorry dude, am I really that gloomy? I've never had such bad+incessant pain in my life tho, and I'm honestly struggling this time.:(
You're right tho, I did go into overdraft on the run up to the wedding, and on the honeymoon if I'm honest, and I'm paying for it now with flares on top of everything else. It's gonna take months to recover from, if I'm really honest, but it was worth it :D

I have loads of things that I'd love to do - I am crafty and I want to do some thankyou cards (for ppl from the wedding) and also some scrap books and photo books/albums with the cards we got from ppl at the wedding and the photos. Unfortunately we can't go look at/get the wedding photos because I'm not well enough yet... I'll have to have a look online to source the stuff for the thankyou cards tho, I just haven't brought myself to do it yet...

Agreed. To both. I didn't watch the Casualty/Holby/whatever but I can't bear it when they do stories like this. They do the same with religions too. I can't remember the last time I saw a Christian person on a program/drama/soap who didn't turn into some cult figure, or psychotic in some way...

Who went on Strictly? Curious to know who only got 2 votes, but the website hasn't updated yet.
