Has anyone ever tried ibuprofen in gel form? I bought some today and have just put it on. Just curious to whether it actually works.
Yep, on my dodgy ankle. It's not bad, as far as it goes :)

In amongst all the general crud on TV, Sky Arts is showing a dance performance called Body Remix, which uses mobility aids as part of the performance and the dancers seem to be invoking the feelings and emotions of quite a few conditions. In one part, the way the dancer gingerly placed each foot down, emitting a squeal as it took her weight, trying to change position as though to ease the pain, was so close as to be moving... (Yes I am being soppy, but I get all emotional with dance and music - nowt else touches me)

Not everyone's cup of tea, obviously, but I used to dance and my sister in law is a professional dancer...in one of our chats (conducted in a mixture of her variable English and my atrocious French), we decided that, out of all people who are, theoretically, at least, superbly fit and healthy, dancers are the most likely to understand what it is like to be in horrendous pain and still have to get up and get through a day.

    Food for thought, eh...?

saucey you need to get that doctor report ..to find out what went wrong...maybe phone them ..losted in post..once you have it..you should see where the bits are wrong in your case...and these are the bits you need to get evidence to support your case ..perhaps put in for the appeal but send note with the appeal that your waiting for there notes., so you can delay it, to get more evidence...did doctor come to your house ??

Hi all, I'm having a sofa day with my dog as we are both poorly today, Im in a flare up and Diamond dogs off her food so we are both feeling sorry for ourselves.

Did anyone see the news about M.E ? apparently some American scientists think they may have discovered the gene that causes M.E :T hopefully Fibro's not far behind, then maybe the drs will start believing us a bit more.

It's very sad about Stephen Gately dying, I wasn't a fan, but he was way too young to go just like that.

Dh's fallen asleep in his armchair so I'm going to have to hobble to the kitchen for a drink.

Oh Im not sure if my laptop will be affected, but the main computers got problems and needs to be fixed ( cant remember what now) I dont know if I will be able to get online or not when dh sends the main comp off to the fixing shop as I run this laptop of the wireless, it wont be just yet though as we cant afford it .

Just spoken to DS1 and we can borrow his computer until we can afford to get ours fixed or replaced as they both use a laptop now.

  • *waves* i have caught up, but have forgotten most and sorry im not even going to try and read back again.

magic wand to cure all would be wonderful. whoever eventually invents that will make a fortune.

jazz never apologise for posting, its nice eve if it does then take me an hour to catch up because i havent been i front of the computer :) keep it up anytime you want to.

i heard soemthing about steven gately ont he news when i was ina shop today, then someone posted on fb....i was thinking he was young. there was something on my yahoo mail home page too about his last tweet or something? didnt dare try and click th elink before catching up on email and etc as even opening yahoo mail took 2 hours at making the computer work and restarting either puter or browser and i changed my fb password so it wpould be easier to enter on the phone..ay have to resort to that for emails and here as well since it is far quicker to establish a gprs conction and get online that way than to turn this puter on *sigh* now i want a smart phone, but prefably one that can handle two sim cards (i can dream cant i?) and doesnt cost the earth...so think its not going to happen.
  • ps. re strictly costumes, they are not skimpisized for tv, even the kids in competitions wear the skimpy latin dresses for latin american and big puffy ballroom dresses for ballroom, and fake tan and loads of makeup are requirements too.

  • amd i forgot, someone asked about ibuprofen gel. i have one that is not ibuprofen, but is a drug in the same class which has been really helping my wrists, but not for as long as it is apparently supposed to iykwim.

fingerless gloves....was it someone in here wanted them? i saw some in new look the other day, and also tescos had some, single pairs with the hat bit to turn them into mitten if wanted, or two pair packs, one fingerless and one normal pair.

Yeah, I asked about the gel. So far doesn't seem to be helping though. :(

This stupid flare up. I refuse to drive anywhere, ever again! But could someone tell my boss that for me please? :undecided
