sue meant to say it should be possible to get laptop wireless without having the pc, think it depends on the type of modem you have though. i only have the laptop and its wireless most of the time but i did have to set it up as wired first then make it wireless.0

I've decided that I'd like to do some crafting, but I have no money to buy things and no glue. What a brilliant start :P
Boyfriend is catching the 7pm train over (he said he'd get the 6pm but I can't see him making it if he hasn't eaten yet) and I'm so excited about seeing him. Even after two years
If anyones got any ideas on things I can do to keep me busy, please let me know
Until then, I'll be on here driving you all mad :PSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
cheese on toast and coffee offered for snacks and i see the animals have been eating all our bugs in the cafe ! lolDid anyone see the news about M.E ? apparently some American scientists think they may have discovered the gene that causes M.E :T hopefully Fibro's not far behind, then maybe the drs will start believing us a bit more.Oh Im not sure if my laptop will be affected, but the main computers got problems and needs to be fixed ( cant remember what now) I dont know if I will be able to get online or not when dh sends the main comp off to the fixing shop as I run this laptop of the wireless, it wont be just yet though as we cant afford it .
Just spoken to DS1 and we can borrow his computer until we can afford to get ours fixed or replaced as they both use a laptop now.purplecatlover wrote: »now i want a smart phone, but prefably one that can handle two sim cards (i can dream cant i?) and doesnt cost the earth...so think its not going to happen."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Yeah, I asked about the gel. So far doesn't seem to be helping though.
This stupid flare up. I refuse to drive anywhere, ever again! But could someone tell my boss that for me please? :undecidedGive it chance. If you're no better with whatever concoction you're on, see your doc for something more specific

I used to love (and still would if I had one I hadn't completed) latch rug matching kits. They can be a bit pricey but should keep you occupied for quite a while. I suggest rummaging through charity shops (or getting someone like boyf? to have a look for you?) for things like that. They usually have paint sets too. There might even be some on freecycle or ebay? In fact if you put a post on Freecycle asking for crafty things I'm sure someone would have something?
Do you prefer paper-y type crafts, or sewing? Tapestries? Cross-stitch? Teddy bear making? Model making? Anything like that? (Can you tell I like my crafts..?:o)"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Ooh didn't see that...now I'm intrigued. Was it on the "real" news (tv etc that I can look up online) or from like an ME site or support group or something?

Here it is, I think. Interesting, but I don't get the feeling it'll make much of a difference!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

Here it is, I think. Interesting, but I don't get the feeling it'll make much of a difference!Dr Richard Grunewald, a consultant neurologist at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who is also on the panel that gives advice to NICE on CFS, said he had reservations about the research.
He said: "The idea that all CFS can be caused by a single virus doesn't sound plausible to most people who work in the field.

Sure, gimme his number

Hehe, thanks. Sadly, my doctor has said she won't up my dose, as the next step up is the addictive stuff. Currently I'm tramadol, co-dydramol and ibuprofen but it just isn't enough. I mean I have to take painkillers every day anyway- so does it really matter if they're addictive? Shouldn't it be my choice?
I'm going to see her again soon to reiterate I just can't cope on this. I thought the pain consultant might discuss medication options, but he just told me to lose weight and that I needed to see a psychiatrist as it was all in my head."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -

I was gonna mention the possibility of whether a pain clinic was an option for you...seems you have already dealt with that. What about a consultant? Someone who originally diagnosed you perhaps? They might be more receptive to the idea?
Don't get me started on the "lose weight"/"it's all in your head" thing. It gets me "I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
My doctor is good, but refuses to medicate me. I have co codamol thats 50/500, but he maintains that the consultant can prescribe me other things, as he doesn't know what he is doing.
He is a lovely man, but its not particularly helpful. I'm on amitryptiline from the last time I went to the consultant, and calcium tablets, and I spend a fortune on anadin/ibruprofen/paracetamol...
Its so frustratingAt my pain clinic a few years ago, they told us to go to sleep when we were in pain, and 'wake up feeling better'. You can just tell that they don't understand how much it hurts!

Lol, I know that feeling saucy, but once you've bought your initial lot (and you might have to cast about for a decent price first) you don't tend to need refills all that often iyswim. And as skint as you may be, it's often false economy not to spend money on things that'll help keep your sanity...I used to be like that and found that it doesn't help if I've got slightly more money/less debt but I'm miserable and want to slit my wrists

You are so helpfulI used to love scrapbooking, but when my parents kicked me out they kept my stuff and sold it on ebay. I haven't bought anything else since, as I don't have many photos. I've printed out instructions for a paper calender, but I need some glue to make it...I can't sew anymore, my wrists are too sore
I'd love to make cards, but I bought a Forever Friends set for £30 from Argos and theres hardly anything in it!
I make air fix with my boyfriend sometimes but the strange glue/paint combo at the moment makes my head pound.
Are you feeling better today?Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0
