    http://www.webmd.com/back-pain/exercises-to-reduce-low-back-pain
Sue I really feel for you - my back has been so bad for weeks now that it's reduced me to tears at times. These are the sorts of exercises the Physio gave me to help seperate the vertebra ad I've found them helpful even if I'm in pain when I start to do them. I think one's mind is a good judge of health so if you mentally flinch at the thought of any of the exercises, I wouldn't do those particular ones. Do you have a TENS machine you can use or could you borrow one? I think some Boots branches hire them out - mainly for pregnant ladies.
sue do you want me to post you the first 3 of the True Blood books? Think I would have enjoyed them mroe if I hadn't watched the TV series first, but think you may like them.

I'm really quite low at the moment - having been in so much pain for so long, the flare up, being knocked over, Dad being poorly etc - think it ws bounf to get to me in the end. It's always inevitable when I feel at my poorliest all the things I need to do are at the front of my mind, so a lot of it is the frustration at the physical limitations being in pain puts on me.

Have tried to cancel everything next week except for the medical appointments I want to keep i.e. nerve conduction test as I want wrist op asap, but have cancelled op to remove cyst in my mouth as I can't bear the thought of it.

Possibility I may be going back to Scillys at the end of this month as Dad wants to go and wants me to go to look after him. I may not physically be at the best to go, but I think it may do wonders for me mentally, so we'll see whether it happens or not.

Thanks for the exercises cwta I've put them in my favourites and will have a look when I get off this site. I did think about going to the docotrs this morning, but cba, and thought I might give it a bit longer first to see if it clears up on it's own ( I hate going to the drs) I have got 2 Tens, a normal one and a heated one with is lovely , so I have been using them a lot, trouble is when you turn them off the pains still there.
Yes I'd love the books thanks, I will send them back when I've read them.

Im sorry your so down, but I suppose it's understandable as you have been through a lot lately, be kind to yourself for once. I think another holidays a great idea, it will cheer you both up.
    take care hun x

Thanks Sue - I'll try to get my head together to send them this week. No need to return them; I far preferred the TV series.
I need to find my TENS to help with my back. I think maybe if yours isn't starting to improve tomorrow (and let's face it, it's unlilkely to) it wouldn't be a bad idea to go to the doc - maybe some different pain relief or sommat? I dunno *g*

BZ I hope it's not the flu; take it easy and get your lovely DH to look after you.

CwtA thanks for posting that exercise link - I've bookmarked it, also. Will attempt some when I can find enough spoons (think I only got teaspoons today LOL). Take it steady - the holiday in the Scillys sounds good, if you're up to going.

If I find any extra spoons, I'll throw some your way, Jaz.:D

Suep maybe you need to change from picking GD up, to sitting down and getting her to clamber onto your lap? Or is that a daft idea? (Sorry, I have NO experience with littl'uns).

Dragon I know all about too much pain to concentrate; hope today is better for you.

Sharon glad you had a good weekend - say Hi to Seaside for me!

Pcl I hope your mousie has really gone; I don't think it's any use relying on Whitney and Chloe to see it off - they're moth specialists!LOL

Morag I hope Brandy hasn't brought you any more presents.

*Waves* to everyone I haven't mentioned by name - not ignoring you, just run out of steam for now.:o

cwta I think your right and I will go to the drs if my backs no better by tomorrow, it wasn't too bad this morning, but has got worse as the days gone on and I have tried to rest, dh's been home as it's been raining all day ( he's a window cleaner) so he's done the housework for me, bless him.

LW I do usually try to sit down when she wants a cuddle, and it's a good idea, but I was making some sandwiches in the kitchen and she wanted to sit on the worktop next to me to watch and I did it without thinking ( as I do most things :o)

Ugghhh just seen the weather forecast for the week, it's going to be wet for the next 2 days as well, at least I can get dh to be my housefairy :D

Sam suffered a major brain bleed. She has undergone surgery and is currently in critical care on life support. Her brain is swelling but the doctors are trying to avoid more surgery. All we can do at the moment is wait and hope for the best.

Hope you are all tucked up in the warm.
Sorry to hear about Sam, I hope she pulls through. Not sure about the history, as its my first visit here.

Lady with the mouse - your cat really loves you!

about me - became my husbands carer a few months ago, after he was disabled in a car accident. I have worked for as long as I can remember - so this is an entirely new experience for me.
