well I care about how Sammy is and I dont even post on here much, but I feel I know everyone as Im usually lurking for no other reason than I can't think of anything to say as I'm foggy , tired and generally felling grotty. I do hope she's ok.
Sharon I'm glad you've had a good day and got some shopping done, I've started my xmas shopping already, but only because the early learning centre had a sale on so I got a dolls house and farm set for gk's, even got a cute outfit for new gd who is due next monthI've been hiring a shopmobility scooter to get round the shops as I cant lift mine in and out of the car without dh.
Good news at last, dad can have the new treatment for his tumour, he's got to go to the clinic on Monday to be prepped and starts the treament on the 23rd of this month, they turn loads of people away if they dont think they are suitable so he must be in with a good chance. :j
Hope everyone has a good weekendReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

sue thats great news about your dad, all the best to him for starting the prep on monday and throughout the treatment.
sharon glad you got things done and feel better about that.

I have just been bitten by a bl00dy mouse  Brandy brought it in and dropped it at my feet - it didn't move, so I picked it up and the ungrateful little sod bit me :rotfl: Normally I'm too slow to catch em and those I do get I only catch by throwing a towel over them. Will know better next time.
I got my new car yesterday and found it oddly traumatic. It was under the scrappage scheme so knew old car was not going to a good home and couldn't throw off the feeling that I was taking it to be pts and the vet was giving me a new puppy as I left  And yes, I know I need counsellingHowever it is another link with the past gone and we had some very good times in it.
pcl I would love to join fb as morag1202 and would be very gratefull for some idiot proof tips on how to do it please. Do I need an email as morag? How's whitney?
:hello: to everyone and apologies for the "me" post. Will read back and reply if I have the energyHave a good weekend all.

whitney nearly got away with pretending to swallow her pill and spittig it out soon as my back was turned this morning, hope she hasnt been fooling me more often. she is now sitting on me purring though. hoping her being sick yesterday was a one off.
you can use any email for facebook morag, i used one i had as a spare (gmail) so all the updates would go to it and not my main regular email. my first account was with my use all the time email. i filled nothing in that it didnt insist i did iyswim and then went into settings and changed everything form default to friends only which means th eonly people who can contact me on or through facebook are people i already have added as friends. maybe one of the others can explain better than mei wont be around today/most of tomorrow but if you havent managed to sort it remind me and ill help you figure it out.
naughty mouse, id maybe ring nhs direct about that just in case wild mouse bites might carry something nasty?
ikwym about car too, im still gutted at y old old car being missing (it was stolen at 8 yrs old) and still check all the old car types i see for my number plate, even though i hated it.
hope things are beginning to settle down for you now.0 -
early morning all..unable to sleep. too much pain laying down...egg on toast any body ? and coffee and tea..
Facebook is down again for few hours maintenance ! or fixing the damn load time of the games......read on there yesterday there is no help guide on what to do ...as loads e-mails going to account..some how managed to stop that...not a clue how....prob now no one can contract me now ! lol
morag have you have a tetanus jab ! in case you kill that mouse ! i had rat bite once that went very nasty....ever since cuts don't heal up so quick....must been vampire rat !

suep best wishes to brave dadthe truth is out there ... on these pages !!0 -
sue That's wonderful news about your Dad - really positive. Hope all goes well for him and that the breeze there is today blows away your fog and brings the sun to shine on you.
Morag That sounds a horrid bite - bad mousie! Hope you doused it will all disinfectant you had around although I would draw the line at bleach *g*
I'm not even going to ask about the good times in the old car!
Pcl Cats are so cunning! Whitney sounds like such a wonderful character - something that occurred to me this morning; can you get cheaper treatment for her from the PDSA? Or do you want to stick with current vet?
sharon You seem to have your positive head on at the moment which is wonderful. Great sense of satisfaction when you achieve something like that isn't it. I've never made chutneys or jams, but am planning to make a rosehip and quince jam this Autumn from fruit in the fields at Dad's.
paw I do hope your pain improves today - any chance of some Lemon Drizzle cake? It's my fave at the moment. Please stay away from vampire rats!
sammy Hope your sufferi8ng resolves itself in the best way possible.
lw How are you doing chuckles? I had a similar reaction to the news about the woman who inspired Lucy in the sky with Diamonds - thought "I wish they wouldn't tell us things like that", but then again if it publicises what an awful disease Lupus is and how it has the potential to be life limiting even if there are not necessarily outward signs of it, then maybe it will help.
My brain is a little clearer today, so I hope it lasts! Unfortunately, derspite trying to keep next week quiet, I have 4 different medical appointments scheduled in now *sigh*. Ah well.

morag I get like that about inanimate objects like my old caravan! I know it sounds nuts but I did care about it.
sharon (I think) Well done on chutney making. I have made some mango chutney this year and some blackcurrant jam but I have to get DSs to chop and stir and pour. Did I make any of it? I wonder.
sammy I am still praying for Sam. I hope we get some good news soon.
cwtl I am impresed by your post remembering so much for one message. Fog must have lifted. Mine is thick again today. Friend has asked me to help her DD to write a job application and I have had to say no.
Re; Facebook. I use it for family and can't get my head around remembering everyone else on there. I tried with people from another thread but just ended up lost with too much to read. So have deleted anyone not family. Sorry but this will have to be my main contact with you all
Sorry I can't remember anyone elses posts but I have read all of them. It is so cold and windy today too.I am sure wather affects me. That s why I felt so good in Paris. We don't dare light the fire for fear of another chimney fire. We will have to resort to oil heating which I hat using as it is so expensive.
I saw asthma nurse last night and she has quadrupled my steroid dosage. We have loads of mould growing in the house and I am allergic to it. I read up on it and lots of symptoms are similar to FMS.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Jaz, well done on fab weight loss! Amazing achievement
It's so hard when you can't exercise, my weight has started to creep up recently and even though it's only a small amount it's not so great for self esteem, but food is one of the only things I can enjoy properly!! So refuse to cut out choc/crisps etc
Thank you very much! I'm crap at giving up chocolate - I'm so addicted. Crisps as well are my downfall. I don't really buy cakes/biscuits etc, but can't stop eating chocolate!"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
pcl thanks for the fb info - will investigate when I have a mo. I do admire anyone who can get pills down cats and lives to tell the tale, dogs are much easier
give her a stroke from me.
paw  at rat bite. Hope you are in less pain now and fast asleep
cwta now now! (that was the mini - many many moons ago!) How is your dad doing? good luck with the medical appointments and glad the brain fog has eased
pooh hope they are right and we do have a milder winter I'm sure the cold affects us all. Have you thought of having the chimney swept? will see if I can find a small child and a brush for you. Bad luck abt the steroids, hope you can reduce them again soon. That mould sounds evil
bz have the spasms in your leg eased off? hope it's less painful now.
jaz, sharon, suep, lw, dragon, veggyboy, and any lurkers :hello:
I got my V5 through the post 2day (very quick, very efficient and wrong ) so it is now back in the post for ammendment  DD's chief bridesmaid emailed details of the hen night - a themed dance class and a meal in a greek restaurant with dancing and smashed plates - and best of all, geriatrics are not required :j:j:j
Sweet dreams all.Murphy was an optimist!!!0
