Ah well best laid plans of Dragons and Men!, I met up with some internet friends in real life yesterday (a group of 4 of us for lunch, only one of whom I had met before!) and this Dragon being this Dragon I managed to completely overdo it and was in bed by 19.30 hours! Still I am back now and about to set the place up for lunch and dinner, it still seems overcast and cloudy and .... well .... icky! so
Soup - roasted red pepper and tomato, served with a warm crusty roll
Jacket potato - with a choice of (deep breath!) coleslaw, cheddar, sweetcorn, chilli (veggie or meat), curry (veggie, chicken, beef, lamb), cottage cheese, Tuna (with or without mayo!), prawns in seafood dressing
Obviously some of the above could also be had with rice, naan, tortilla or salad!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I am just married. Hurrah!
It's taken so long to 'finish' the wedding thing, what with writing thank-you letters and getting the photos done etc.
And I've been battling with our Freeview box which isn't behaving. Sigh.

Congratulations allydowd :T
I know to get help with the renewal, thanks allI just don't have any GP support any longer. My wrist specialist just keeps telling me it should be better - well should is all very well. I have a few problems but only bother with LRC for the cooking, the rest is too much of a struggle.

Well the new (secondhand) tv and freeview recorder are both working now. It's taken hours to get them set up properly as our reception is poor. We replaced all the cables with spares from the cupboard-under-the-stairs and Hey Presto!
This evening's challenges are getting a slideshow of wedding pictures onto YouTube and helping my dyslexic OH with calligraphy practice. We're still at the stage of trying to get all the handwritten letters legible. LOL.

I can't believe we've almost reached June - where has this year gone?!!
I'm no good at menu's, so have prepared a simple salad bar (including cottage cheese, coleslaw, pickles, etc) so you can mix and match whichever items you want. There a range of cold meats too so I'm having a small baked spud with chicken, sweetcorn and mayo and a huge salad.
For pudding I've got a fresh cream meringue with strawberries.
There are jugs of pimms ready and waiting in the chiller seeing as it's so gorgoeously sunny today.
My car has been playing up for a while so a friend's neighbour is taking a look at it later on today. Worst case scenario is the head gasket's on it's way out ... _pale_. Will be a case of bye-bye car if so, as the gasket will cost more than the car is worth probably! Fingers crossed for the cheaper options.0 -
