Help yourselves to pink champagne (I had some the other day) as well as chocolates and other virtually fat free goodies.
Thank you Horace. I've brought some strawberries, as it's a nice touch to partly slice one through and sit it on the lip of the champagne glass.;)

Have cooked up a batch of pancakes which can easily be nuked in the microwave so help yourself to lemon, sugar, maple syrup, chocolate and bananas (I know its isnt pancake day yet but I just fancied some).

Beef stew is being cooked up as we speak - the weather has been lovely today and my thoughts immediately turned to stew, so it was salad for lunch and stew for dinner:D

Colin - do you get compo if your mattress is late?

Dragon - sorry to hear that you are still smitten with cold.

Wolfie - hope you are feeling better now? Lemon sponge is yummy but haven't made the marmalade yet:rolleyes:

Well I'm having a lovely time in India with my friend. Yes it is hot and humid so won't suit a lot of people but visit me virtually and you can have whatever temperature you like.
Hot 'n' spicy is what I'm eating for every meal. It's rather nice. Again join me for a virtual curry, which doesn't contain spices if that is your desire.

I've just spent 3 days at an Ashram (a religious community). Visited a school that my DD's school has funded through their Charities Committee. The buildings were totally funded by DD2's classmate's parents. He tragically was killed 6 months after leaving school. They will put the money they would have used to help him through Uni, to support the school. They have built the buildings for 200 children, complete with good toilet and kitchen facilites as well as plenty of shade.
I'm priviliged to see such work. We have so much in the UK to be thankful for, here there is no welfare state and there are a lot of neglected and abused people.
We must continue to insist on better provision for us #old crocks# in the UK, but a little help for others also helps and does make me feel better.

Gin sling is ready... with cherries and paper umbrellas.....

Lovely spring weather here today, nice sun and it really was quite pleasant. Something has stirred in me and I have started to have a massive clear out, so clothes that remain unworn or no longer fit are being donated to the local charity shop as I noticed the other day that they are getting short of clothes.
There is something missing in my diet too as my body has started craving orange lucozade (normally I don't touch the stuff) and grapes:rolleyes: No, I am not pregnant before anybody asks:eek:

Sounds as though you are having a fab time in India M.E. - I can honestly say that it is a country that I have never fancied visiting but then I don't do hot n humid nor hot n spicey food. Sorry to hear that DD2's friend passed away after leaving school though it must have been a shock but at least some good has come out of it in that a schoolroom has been built.

OH and I have had a lovely day, we've been to York for free using our disabled bus passes! We live in South Yorkshire and can go into West Yorkshire on the train. So we caught the train to Leeds, then the Coastliner bus to York. Smashing day out and all we bought was lunch!!
