Had a fabulous day yesterday with my friend and family in India. We travelled by car and driver (they don't have a car) to the coast to where the top of Sri Lanka meets the peninsular from India. Had lunch (gorgeous crab and prawn curry) at a relative's house and as a guest I was given a really treasured sweet treat.

A small Cadbury Milk chocolate bar! Obviously it had melted and put back in the fridge to harden and had that white bloom that aged chocolate has.
However I was very touched by their kindness and thoughtfulness.
The children loved my digital camera and the picture of my house in the snow last week. I do not think they know what "cold" is!

Resting today after the long, long day.
Tropical warmth to anyone who needs it.

Hey guys, I went to see Keane they were awesome I had so much fun and was hoarse all weekend from singing along and the wheelchair area was so close to the stage I nearly had a fit I got so over excited, I'm glad you guys persuaded me to go. Back to the reality of the workmen today but feeling a little better humming Keane songs.

I am not having a good day: first a small row at work, then a small but embarrassing accident at work and I have just dropped a whole glass of juice over my laptop! Luckily my partner has a laptop I can borrow for the time being but it's not as comfortable as mine. I daresay I'll spend all day tomorrow fixing it. Arggghhhh!

Phew! My laptop isn't too badly damaged. It's usable. I've just got one key that's not working properly and a challenging boot-up propblem. Make backups of everything folks, I'd have been stuffed without them.

Having had two friends who have lost everything when their 'puters died on them, Mr LW and I have a scheduled full back-up once a month, and "important" things like the household accounts are backed up more frequently. Memory sticks are relatively inexpensive and can save a lot of heartache and problems.

Memory sticks shouldn't be relied on as backup though LoneWolf.

Last night we went to the Ballet. It was fabulous. If you haven't seen Les Ballet Trockadero you haven't lived. It was hilarious and they're in the middle of their UK tour so if you get a chance to see them I'd recommend it.
