Just had a nice chap from the Government's Warm Front scheme to see if there is anything they can do to help me, it turns out we only really need draft proofing on the doors (um yep I could tell them that! we don't have a porch so the front door opens straight into the lounge!) also we need better roof insulation BUT because our house is an old Victorian workers cottage (therefore midgy in size!) it is too small for them to help us

I'll take up the offer of that rose oil massage, please.:o

I had a "funny turn" last night, suddenly felt as if an elephant was sitting on my chest. Not pleasant, I can tell you! I feel a little fragile today, probably as a result, so I'm taking it easy.

I shall be making Quorn, cheese and onion quiche for tonight's dins in a little while, I'll do enough for the Cafe as well.;)

I used to visit Stoke Prior quite often, some years ago, when I was married to the ex, as his family lived there.

Logically if it is small - they should find it a doddle - and cheap !
Wish we had roof insulation, even a centimetre would help.....

Anyhow, spring has definitely sprung - even been out doing a bit of the garden....

What a day, I got up sooper early as I had a hospital appointment and then discovered that the milk had gone off so instead of my morning cuppa I ended up drinking lucozade:rolleyes: I admit that I was naughty in the hospital and asked them to hurry me through as I had an appointment on the other side of town at 12.30 (I hadn't:rotfl: ) so I was seen at around 11am about an hour after my appointment time.

I had my pressures done so 13 in right and 7 in left, my uveitis is under control so I can stay at 1 drop per eye per day:j Prof came to see me as well because he has been muttering about cataract ops - he has decided that it is isnt really necessary at the mo as the cataract isnt that bad, he may do away with the idea altogether because I won't get any sight back and my pupil is stuck to the lens which makes life a whole lot more difficult:rolleyes: I dont need to go back til 27 May when I will see Prof, the glaucoma consultant (different chap) and have a long awaited field vision test - funny it has taken 3 requests before one has appeared.

I feel like eating a cream cake but haven't got one:rolleyes:

Here you go Horace <passes cream cake>.

I'm tired as I'm getting ready for a choir concert this weekend. We're performing tomorrow night and at the moment we're a shambles. :o Usually we sound great, but with all the colds and flu etc lots of people have missed rehearsals. So we've to rehearse tonight and tomorrow afternoon. I'm gonna be exhausted.

Good luck allydowd with your concert.
We have one in a month's time, so I'm listening to the rehearsal tracks on my MP3 player whilst lying in the shade. I'm enjoying the hot weather but only as I'm lazing around and not working.
Today is my birthday and my Indian friends made me a skirt and top, which is rather nice. I've also bought a silk sari that will make into a skirt and jacket.
We had lunch out. An Indian meal in India.;) ;)
Birthday cake and candles later with friends coming round and tomorrow we are going for a #grand day out# to the coast 3 hours away.

    Happy Birthday M,E,:bdaycake:

Thanks for the cake Ally it was much appreciated. Hope all goes well with the rehearsals today.

I am feeling rather stiff and chuffed with myself because I have spent time since 10am til 2pm washing cars for charity, some cars are really filthy, those that we considered to be really bad got charged a fiver or more even though we were charging £3, £2 for motorbikes and a fiver for vans.

I said that next time I go I shall dress up in a bunny girl outfit and stand at the side of the road swinging my bucket:eek: :rotfl:

Well, I am off to get some much needed coffee and will settle on the sofa to watch the rugby.

    Have a good day all.:D

Thanks for your good wishes everyone.

The concert was fine. I really enjoyed it. (Brahm's German Requiem and Parry's Blest Pair of Sirens for those of you who are familiar with these things.)Great orchestra and great soloists. Venue a bit cold though. But I've just woken up after a 3 hour nap. LOL.

Our next concert is more relaxed so hopefully I won't be so tired getting ready for it.

Thought it was time I took off my ski jacket. LOL.
