It must indeed be spring - Mr LW cut the grass at the weekend. :rotfl:
Freshly baked tomato bread is available in the cafe, and there's a bowl of little marzipan eggs - I've finally got the hang of making marzipan! If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning all,
Sorry I've been awol again. I had a long weekend in Cornwall 2 weeks ago as DS had an audition/open day at Truro college - and he's had an unconditional offer from them :j . We have family down there including mum who's in a home so was really nice to see her too. The train journey home was nightmarish and I'm still in recovery mode from it all.
I've had even more good news as the Housing Asses have finally agreed that my front door needs to be replaced afterall. The girl who saw it was so shocked at the age and state of it that she wrote it all down just by looking at it from the outside - yay! Just got to "wait for the glazers to be in my area to measure up", as it wil be a pvc double glazed one.
I've also begun clearing up and clearing out and want to get some decorating done. I'm planning to get my seeds sown in the next week or so and this year, I'm not going so madly at it. over the last few years, I've ended up giving loads away as I haven't had the time or energy to plant all the flowers and plants I've grown. Also, I'm hoping to be more successful with veg and salad stuffs than last year. (My worst crops were 6 peas and 1 cherry tomato)
To get me started, I'm having a large hot chocolate with all the trimmings and will sit on the patio in the sunshine.0 -
We managed to cut the grass yesterday, sat on the garden swing admiring it ... and the seat broke. So I'm moving the cafe to where seats don't break.
Feel free to join me.0 -

Morning all - trouble's back to see whether the cafe needs a spruce up
seeing it's spring again :j (after yesterday's snow!).
My DLA appeal was sent last Monday, had acknowledgement of receipt on Friday saying it'll be another 11 weeks before a decision.
Heard this morning that my appeal has been upheld and successful - including Christmas Bonus !!!. :T0 -
