    Great news!

My mouth has stopped hurting. I celebrated with a chocolate eclair.

Had a job interview yesterday; don't know if I got it yet.

    Hello all

Sorry I have been awol - I have been working, networking, making love and having fun:eek: :D

Its been quite pleasant today - I had to go and stand outside a local college to get signatures for a petition as the government is saying it cannot afford the funding to move it to a new site at Longbridge (on the old rover works), bus broke down:mad: so we were turfed off but I couldnt be bothered to wait for another one so walked - it must have been 1.5 miles to the college from the bus stop, why is it that 6 buses come sailing past when you are between stops:confused:

Have had quite a productive time although I admit to being a bit lazy as I have stuff to put on ebay only I really can't be bothered to photograph it all - over 60 items:eek:

Just whizzing in and whizzing out.

I'm here for a sit-down and a rest. Been busy this morning, making shepherd spy, nut loaf, and carrot & orange cake.

Paws crossed for the job, Ally.

  • I'll have a slice of nut loaf and a bit of the cake - but I might find the shepherd spy a little stringy - so lashings of coffee will fill a gap - Ta...

Morning all - trouble's back to see whether the cafe needs a spruce up :D seeing it's spring again :j (after yesterday's snow!).

My DLA appeal was sent last Monday, had acknowledgement of receipt on Friday saying it'll be another 11 weeks before a decision.
Heard this morning that my appeal has been upheld and successful - including Christmas Bonus !!!. :T
    Congrats, really pleased for you

Cafe is spruced up but few customers.
Hopefully everyone is up and about rather than retreating into the cafe.
Our handbell concert went well, so now I'm in the cafe having a relaxing spa and virtual champagne.

    Morning all,

Just nipping in for a quick coffee and rest before the day gets going on me.

I think I need to grow a new and longer tail as the one I'm chasing is miles out of reach .. !

Ds has accepted his college/Uni offer - Yayyy! We're trying to figure out the finance side of it now and his accomodaton. The place he's going to has very limited halls of residence, so fingers crossed he gets a room there.

The gremlins have struck again as my kitchen taps broke last week and my heating packed up on sunday. (hopefully the 3rd thing is the hoover's belt snapping ...) The housing asses have done a temporary repair to the taps and told me they hope the new set will be fitted by the end of this one. I rang them about my heatig yesterday and I'm still waiting for the contractors to call to make an appointment to see it. (It's a bit weird though as I've got hot water - usually both pack up when somethings up with the boiler  . I'm beginning to think my house is coming out in sympathy with me for all the repairs I've been needing of late  .

I'm loving the spring and the lighter nights. I didn't realise how long I was gardening for on sunday - and paying for it now, ho hum.

May call in later. Have filled up the bird feeders, put fresh water in the bird bath and swept the patio, put up chairs and loungers so all's set for a lazy sit out in the sun later.

    Hope everyone is well.
