    Well done Ally, great news!

So sorry about the DLA Alto - do stick with it though as everyone I know who has appealed DLA has won their case. My son had his DLA MRC reduced to LRC - it was crazy - we appealed and his MRC was reinstated the following week, without the need to go to a hearing. Good luck and let us know how you go on.

I'm just going to have a cup of cocoa and a biccie, and then I'll have a wipe round

We had a lovely time in Venice. Unfortunately most of the time was spent in bed.;);)
Well, we were not well... both had the dreadful cough and cold. Still suffering.
So a visit to the lovely cafe with snuggle duvet and coffee and relaxing music will do us both a power of good.

The cafe does look lovely. The elves have been round and you can sit on a sofa of your choice. After all no one has paid full price for a sofa for years, have they? From all the advertisements there must be a sofa mountain, so a few luxury ones in the cafe will be excellent. I think I'll have a recliner one with a built in remote and coffee holder. Oh the elves have just brought me a coffee. I just think about it and they've done it. Wonderful

For those who are poorly join us here and it's a tonic to the system.

I'm in full head-in-oven mood today after another disappointing trip to the doctor. Why do I bother :(

They think I'm ill because I worry about being ill, I have IBS, so that to me says 'go home, we cant help you, you're nuts'. I'm so sick of hearing that they can't help, it's like they don't even believe that I'm suffering. Well they will soon enough.

Oh shoot - is there nothing you can do to convince them?

Stress probably IS making your IBS worse - but that doesn't make it your fault.

It is typical of some doctors to blame the patient when they can't find out what is wrong and/or can't do anything to alleviate the symptoms. But not all doctors are like that. Could you see a different doctor at your surgery? Or even consider changing to another practice?

He's the best one at my surgery, he's always been really good before, guess he's just sick of me now.

Have you tried the Gut Trust website? Their site says they are:

"The national charity for people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome in the United Kingdom. We support people like you, who are coping day to day with IBS; a condition that is misunderstood, often stigmatised and which can chronically affect your everyday life.

We support people with IBS in many ways: we offer a free telephone helpline staffed by specialist nurses; we provide factsheets, online support, toilet access cards, as well as a quarterly journal, internet forums and our unique Self Management programme to help you live life to the full with IBS."

Maybe someone there could help you?
