Hi All,

We are going to Bulgaria on 16th April 09 to see exactly what is going on with the build status. I have promised Delagio that I will post a report on this forum whether it be good or bad. They are confident we will be pleased with progress on the development. We will also try to visit Anna Pravash.... (Solicitor) to discuss the development and where we stand with Ambasun. I also want to find out what the situation is with Amba Sun based in Bulgaria I.e if they have a relationship with Ambasun in the UK. I'm told there is no connection, however, as they have the same name the alarm bells are ringing.
Following our visit I am hopeful we will be in a position to post a positive report. I have not yet seen any negative info on Sunny Beach and the photos on Google Earth paint a nice picture of the place. We are hoping to have quite a few holidays out there ourselves!

Watch this space!

indeed, you will most likely be a creditor to the uk establisment or some or all funds 'lost'.

I'd say... 'woops' is a good word here :P
• Horace,

We have only paid the deposit my friend and if it turns out to be a con we shall blame nobody but ourselves. How can we have been conned if we have photographs of the apartment interior/exterior etc. Are you saying it has never been built. Do you know who Delagio are? Are they con merchants in your opinion? Instead of just saying we have been conned tell me why you know we have please?

The world is full of baddies.
You may, or you may not, learn from your mistakes.
One thing is for sure
you have lost your money.

Learn from this. Move on. You have been Royally Conned AND don`t blame anyone but yourselves. You failed to appreciate RISK. Don`t bleat, move on, but remember you have been conned left right and centre ,a valuable experience everyone learns sooner or later.

• We paid our one and only payment back in 2007 and that has been handed over to the developer so we no longer have any dealings with Ambasun UK. If the development looks dodgy in any way we shall simply walk away and count our small losses.

i've just been reading this thread for the past 3-4months its been ongoing.. (maybe longer cant be bothered cheking).

Each time... from an outsiders view... it seemed sose mething was amiss. People would come and go and say 'im going out asap to see the build... but i never saw any concrete proof these apartments existed.

As for the comment of ambasun uk and ambasun bulgaria not being linked... how naive are you people? Obviously some sort of scam going on here and because its foreign law it will be difficult to get monies back (throw in fact bulgaria is quite a corrupt place to do business i'd say was a further bad sign).

Of course i could be wrong and the developer will finish the apartments shortly.

Just to refresh everyones memory here. When were the apartments due to complete?

How much has been paid (because some posters seem to have paid majority of cost of apartment to developers whereas you seem not to).
• Hello

Whilst ever now and again someone is able to provide a useful snippet of information on this forum thread, I am concerned by those replies from individuals clearing reveling in other people's difficulties!

Funky5 - I am happy to discuss what I know of Ambasun's liquadation and the useful phone conversations I have had today - please email me privately if you wish to discuss this further - nicsi79@yahoo.co.uk

For the record I have done my homework on Bulgaria as a country and whilst its culture and economy is quite different to that in the UK, it is just that 'different', which incidentially in many ways is a good thing - the UK isn't all its cracked up to be!

Regarding the developers - I have visited my apartment and it is beautiful and finished to a very high standard. I have keys and a habitation agreement and simply await my deed. I anticipate this issue between developer and Ambasun is to be resolved through effective auditing now following their liquidation.

Sweeping unfounded remarks are not helpful!

Is Desi having a laugh. Just recieved a letter asking me to contrribute towards her legal costs.
She wants me to share my thoughts.
Here they are
Stop F*cking about with us and get the appartments built and transferred.
To think she is using this situation to manipulate us to fund her battles. I for one am not going to get drawn in to this game. She will again use this as the excuse for delaying the completion of the apartment.

Rant over

We have not received a letter from Desi so I presume our payment was made to the developer. Are Delagio saying they won't hand over the apartments until Ambasun UK pay the monies owing to them?

Desi is the developer. Which development are you on?
