    Morning Guys!

The thing is, we have a normal sized fridge and freezer in the kitchen on their last legs and we have been debating to buy an american style one which will have a bigger freezer than we have in the kitchen already.
    xx

    Hi PP

The freezer compartments of the American fridges aren's as capacious as you might think, especially if you get one with ice making and/or drinks dispenser capability. A large portion of the already-not-as-big-as-you-think freezer space gets taken up.

In the end we went for a matching but separate very tall fridge and freezer (we wand have them side by side. We chose stainless steel finish, and they look very smart. Of course it's a bit wider than an american style fridge freezer, but it was a good investment for us. It also means that if one of them breaks down, you don't have to get rid of the other one. Ours is made by AEG, but Zanussi and a couple of other people also make them.

PENPIN what size remoska will I need for me and DD, even though she's moving out next month she'll be scavenging here still, and what size pizzas do they cook?:confused: I need a new gas oven but might get a remoska instead:D

    Hiya!

I went for the Grande as I wanted to cook a medium chicken and roasties at the same time. The roasties dont crisp too well with the chicken juices, but I founf that you could put them in a small tine on the rack and they are great. I often cook the chicken which takes an hr, then the roasties seperatly. I also thought that even if i cooked too much, it could be used as leftovers and there was £10 in the price difference thats all. You can cook a large pizza (9"?) in there easily. When I looked at the size difference instore, I am glad that I went bigger.

    In my eyes.....bigger is better;)

I'd second that. We can't get as much in our American fridge/freezer as the old stand alone freezer. We also have a chest freezer in the garage so its not an issue for us.

    Hi all,
Well, after all of the cuffuffle about this thread I for one am pleased, There are so many oldee postees that have returned and lots of newbees, I've enjoyed reading today's thread and have picked up a few handy things.

    Question time,
I have 3 pepper plants still producing, the little yellow strong ones, I have dried about 4 dozen peppers, I'm unsure as to how to store them. I have some kilner jars, from freecycle, and thought about using these but will that keep any moisture in and make them go mouldy?

DIVA, You started your post mentioning mad cat waking you, you ended your post saying you had strung your peppers on cat gut........... Please tell me I have the wrong end of the stick;)

NIMBO, I normally do bubble and squeek, DH loves it with sos and a poached egg.

MEANMARIE, I do hope Ulick improves, and you can get back to some normality.

SMOKY, ANNIES, JACKI O, CANDY, PENPIN. x and an extra x for those in need.

p.s. the other thread is going to be closed :T

Can I ask where did you get your Remoska's from? I am starting to like the sound of them the more I read about them. I have just replaced my slow cooker, as I dropped the inside crock, besides it was only £12.99 so I didn't worry about buying a new one.

Don't tell DH that I am looking at another gadget he will string me up..lol

    Hi Natty,

The Remoska's are from lakeland, and i believe its the only place you can get them, i have not got one myself but am thinking of getting one :D .

Quick one from me today as the only remotely os thing i have done today is put the dw on, but I have walked for 8.5 miles on our works team build, which was great :T .

Anyway hugs to all in need, good to see some missing posters returning.
