Morning all
off to w*rk in a bit - I am very lucky and get to meet my dgs on his way to school every morning - almost makes me look forward to the journey - very wet this am so will need waterproofs.
dad's ferry gets in at 8pm tonight so we won't see him till much later - I will pop into aldi on the way home and pick up lots of sneaky snacky things as I'm sure he'll want something light after his journey
have a good day everyoneI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Just nipped in to say good afternoon, just picked the children up from school and am now off for a swim.
FISHFINGER UPDATE: They didn't like them!! Asked if they could have real fish again, wouldn't mind but I now have a box of the flippin things which noone will eat (palm them off on DH)
Also drove out to the shopping centre to replace DS's swimming trunks (think his others blew off the balcony!). Traipsed all the way back and they are too big so wil have to go all the way back tomorrow.
Still not much OSing going on - will have lamb chops on the barbie tonight with salad.
Welcome to newbies - have a good day all.
I have decided to ignore the other thread - don't need the stress!

Morning :hello:
Well it's wednesday, that means I'm off to FIL's to give his house it's weekly cleanI hate doing the cat litter tray though _pale_ I didn't even clean ours when we had a cat, mr troo always did it.
I might have a lazy afternoon, making cards while catching up on some recorded programs with a bowl of minstrels next to meWe have loads of potatoes, so I'll bake the largest ones and freeze them so when we can't be bothered to cook, there's quick and easy food available
Oh and I have to ring a garden centre about my cards. I took some in the other day, the man said he'd have them like a shot, but he daren't cos the woman in charge of cards and gifts would kill him for interfering :rotfl: Trouble is, her days off are the only days I can get there  so I'm hoping she'll agree to me leaving some for her to look at. I'm not good at selling over the phone, so I'm not holding my breathI am a coffee bean0 -

Morning Guys!
Had a pretty bad night again last night and feel so exhausted. Suppose to be at the hospital this morning but I may call them and give my personal blood readings to them over the phone.
OH is back on his course this morning. Its 2 hrs for 3 days certain weeks till next February, then e has his exam. Luckily, all half-term and Xmas etc its closed. He is enjoying it and showing me different words. Maybe, if Im lucky...he may stop speaking:D ....only joking.
WM is on and DW needs to be unloaded. Kitchen sides have been wiped and toilet cleaned. Everywhere clean and tidy. Helper bought ironing back yesterday so thats all done too.
OH got a reduced chicken yesterday. So I will put in Remoska this morning and roast up, then I may make Coronation Chicken rolls for lunch and will use the rest of it in our ctir fry and noodles later. Its only a small chicken, so dont think I will get much more from it.
OH & I were discussing last night if we truly need a HUGE chest freezer we have outside and we really dont think we do. The thing is, we have a normal sized fridge and freezer in the kitchen on their last legs and we have been debating to buy an american style one which will have a bigger freezer than we have in the kitchen already. They are not cheap and I have seen one I like and as I drink sooooo much water, it would be good for that too. I think we have come to the conclusion that if we do this and empty the freezer we have, we will go to fortnightly shopping and buy what we need from mealplan, then buy fresh fruit/veg from Aldi as we find thats the best quality for the price. We are trying to get the budget down by £10pw as OH would love a coffee machine, but these are dear but if we can claw back money elsewhere, than its not costing us anything IYSWIM. Does anyone have a USA freezer?
We are at friends Saturday and are being naughty by taking some nice smelly cheeses and crackers with us which we have saved M&S vouchers for. They like their wine and cheeses, so thought it would be a nice treat.
Anyway, OH is just making a coffee, so I had better go.
Hugs to all in need.

Morning Chums, Hope all's well in OS land.
had the remains of Mondays Chook for a curry last night and still had some left over to freeze.Got a small piece of pork for dinner tonight I am discovering all sorts of things I had forgotten in my freezer.Still lots of things to go though. I think I shall empty it by about Xmas at this rate. My lovely sis-in-law is still staying with me until the week-end to make sure I behave and don't do too much .Arm is still a bit stiff but is healing o.k. fingers crossed. No college this week though as I'm not driving yet. Weather looks rubbish from my window and I think its going to be a damp one today. We are going to make some more Christmas cards this afternoon plus I have about 6 birthday ones to get started on <<hugs to those in need>> and bigto the rest of you

Yesterday I made a fruit sponge tray bake (a bit like manor house cake) its too nice, cant stop eating it! Plus a bread pudding which has been demolished by everyone asking for some - I'm even taking some into school for the teachers now!:rotfl:
Took DD's trainers back to clarks, got insoles now, that's all I can do as I can't get "E" fitting ones. The assistants are "so enthusiastic"(cant be bothered attitude) - is it so wrong to ask for decent service these days??

Morning all!
Meant to have friends coming round this morning, so shouldn't even really be sitting here! DW run and needs unloading so all the furry crockery that ds produced whilst I was in bed can be washing and hopefully sterilised! Wet again so will be tops and undies washing as that's easy to put on hangers or the airer to dry! Need to turn bm on and sort out sausage plait for tonight, thanks to whoever originally posted the idea, will be served with mash, onion gravy and assorted veg.
Used up Sunday leftovers for veg cakes last night and rolled them in polenta instead of flour or breadcrumbs, worked well and everyone loved them, well except dd1 who doesn't like swede, oops!
Hoovering will be done at some point today and need to sort out the new floor for the bathroom as well, which means choosing, buying and laying it! Will start with a trip to b&q later I think. Must remember to find my old trackie bottoms from my gym days for dd1 and her sports taster day tomorrow, and whizz some cash over to dd2's school for her residential trip - don't even get me started on the silly price of it! Oh, her tom sauce (or chilli pasta as it was called) never made it home from school, she forgot it- apparently the teacher usually bins anything left, if so I shan't be impressed!
Not a lot else will be going on here today, but have a meeting at dd3's school about the way they've organised the teaching, a LSA for one day a week! So that'll be interesting!
Have a good day all! Hugs where needed. Penpin, hope you feel a bit brighter today, and Beth I'm glad Ben's recovered so well and I shall let you know when I've bought the cement! x
edit: friends both poorly, so no gossiping today! Have put some chutney into the jam maker, house smells of eau de vinegar - yuck! Remembered I bought some ys baking pots and forgot to put them on meal plan, so will be having jacket shepherds pies instead of sausage plait, sauce cooking in moski right now. Got bm and dw on now as well.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
