Twice recently I have selected a recorded programme to watch and the unit has 'locked up', requiring a 'reboot' to fix. Very strange.

Nope no timers were set up, we'd just started watching it when the wifes uncle came round so I just hit pause.

That's slightly encouraging. If it happens then I guess the only way we will find out what is in it is by testing it ourselves. I don't suppose there is any point in asking Key and they apparently said there would not be any more updates.

with 1.5 when i play back recordings then use the volune control on tv remote its stops play back! anyone else experienced that?

I think I am going to give up on the Technosonic. I am currently trying the Thomson twin tuner. Only 40Gb HD but 20 hrs recording is enough for me. It has the advantage of being able to record 2 channels at once and playback a previous recording at the same time. Also continually records the last 30 minutes of the channel you are watching so if you missed something you can rewind. Early days yet but appears to be an OK machine.
