New fault for me tonight. Turned on the TV and a blast of white noise from the speakers nearly knocked me off my chair. Sound on all channels was replaced with this noise, like an unsquelshed FM receiver with no signal. Picture on all channels was OK.
Rebooting by turning off and on , as usual, cured the fault.0 -

DTG have moved the "technotrend" broadcast back to the 15th May.
Still no clues if it's for the PVR101 or not. Let's hope so.0 -

I had my PVR101 still in its box since I upgraded to 1.5 and set it up last night, I found that the picture was fantastic but when I tried to watch a program I had recorded all I got was a black screen and the counter was speeding up. I tried using the time shift and that was ok. I then turned up the gain on the amplifier that I have fitted and the recordings got a little better but still very blocky, Does anyone have any ideas why the viewing tuner is perfect yet the recording one is so poor.

Ooooppsss.....I'll have to take up reading lessons! As they say, if all else fails, RTFM!
At least it bumped this thread. Was in danger of dropping of the front page!0 -
We were watching The Street last night on Timeslip - about 50 mins behind - when it just froze 35 mins into the programme. Nothing would get it playing again - it ended up on BBC1 live transmit with the TS on the display panel still showing. Most odd. Never had that before.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Were you also recording something at the same time? I find that most (all?) Timeslip freezes occur when there is a concurrent recording. For me failures of Timeslip are now the main problem with the PVR101. Unfortunately with Timeslip if it freezes then any recovery action loses the buffer. I have been in the habit of recording important programmes to cover the eventuality of Timeslip failing. However, I am now coming to the view that this may be exacerbating the Timeslip problems.
