Hi Alisonj,
Yeah, I have dooyoo really excellent for getting Xmas presents and I am going to continue to get as many Amazon vouchers as I can. I usually cash it in at £10 (no patience) and then buy a gift added with a couple of quid from my own account as I don't really notice it. It has been a lifesaver for me.
When are you due? You must be getting really excited. Is it your first baby?
Just did the snowball calculator and my DFD has moved from May 2014 to October 2013. Delighted with that, a 7 month difference. I secretly want it all gone by April 2010 but that will depend on OH getting a job fairly quickly after college.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi CMD,
Well done for what you have achieved already. Just been reading through your diary on this Friday afternoon, longing for work day to finish.
Good luck with the rest of your journey.Total Debt now £22,525.07 Start Debt £32,732.36

Hi Hobsch,
That's mad, I am just in the middle of reading yours. It is very motivating and will post on there in a minute. You have done so much and sounds like the Coca-Cola and diet is going well too. I am far too fond of Pepsi for my own good and sipping on it as I type. It used to be Coke but just swapped the addiction to another one.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

That is odd. Thanks for the comments. I am sipping on a Coca-Cola too - I didnt buy it though, my dad popped in and got me 2. So an added bonus but not going to get addicted again - I hope!Total Debt now £22,525.07 Start Debt £32,732.36

Am in a bit of a bad mood today. OH got a letter from Royal Mail to say his registration day (for Xmas work) has been cancelled as they have filled all the vacancies. We were really counting on this for some Xmas money as he registered fairly early and also registered for the 1st available date and time.
He is now gone off to uni in a mood. I just told him that he could try and make it up by doing some AQA but he isn't very quick at that.
Sorry for having a moan, am just feeling sorry for myself!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Been there and had setbacks so try not to feel too down.
Is it only that job he wants to do for xmas cash? A student friend has been looking around and here there is recruitment for Currys/Dixons, Boots, Woolies etc just for Xmas/Key time as some call it.
Keep smiling. It helps. LOL.Total Debt now £22,525.07 Start Debt £32,732.36

Hi Hobsch,
Thanks for the words of encouragement. How are you getting on?
Had a look at some places that you mentioned but there doesn't seem to be any in our area. OH is going to do lots of AQA'ing before Xmas and then is going to look for a part-time job after Xmas. We go home to Ireland for Xmas so he can do it as soon as he comes back. If he puts his head down and does a lot of AQA we should be okay. With my wages we would be okay anyway (just) but I want to pay back the debts as well. I was doing quite well up to now so don't want to put it on hold until he finishes uni in June.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi there
Just reading through your diary so far - sorry to hear that OH hasn't got a position with Royal Mail, although I'm sure something else will come up.
I haven't heard of Dooyoo, are they like Ciao - I used to write reviews for them ages ago (like about 8 years ago - I don't know if they still even exist?)Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0
