    Hi all,

OH got his tax back so have added more money to the baby savings bit of my signature. Am also waiting on £900 to be paid back to us for the deposit on the last flat so that should bulk it up a bit more too.

Went to the midwife yesterday and am being sent for a growth scan next Thursday as my bump is measuring small. Was a bit upset about that but now realise it could mean that the baby is in a really compact position. If the baby is not growing much in the womb though, I might have to be induced - which is a bit scary. Obviously I want what is best for the baby though. I just wish I could have the scan on Monday instead of having to wait for Thursday. It seems so long away.

Don't worry about being induced, I was induced for both of mine because they went past due date, it was actually nice being in the hospital already with people keeping an eye on you. Don't worry.

No worries SavingH - I was brutal at keeping this diary but have gotten better :)

    Lauhen - thanks for advice.

Scan went great and baby is growing within the normal ranges. They didn't give an estimate but just said there were no problems. She didn't spend too much time showing us the baby but it was good to see him/her again icon_smile.gif

On another note I was awake from about 3.45am-7am this morning with waves of period pains/cramps. I really thought this was it but obviously it wasn't! I was timing the waves and they were 5 mins apart and then went to 10/12 mins apart and then at 7am I fell asleep. So what was all that about??? It must be false labour - I wasn't impressed at all icon_sad.gif

My pelvis really aches today and I went for a long walk but am really starting to get sore and uncomfortable now. The joys!

On a more positive note - my deposit came back so my baby savings are up to £3700. Am quite chuffed with that. I hope to have about £4500 by the time the baby is born (money from end of Feb work cheque)

    Thanks SavingH!

You wouldn't think I am doing so well if you saw how much I am spending in Debenhams today. Although I am getting 20% off so don't feel too bad. It is also on bedding that is badly needed. If my Mum is coming over to help out with the baby I want the room nice for her as well :)

  • Hi all,

Am spending so much money on this baby but think I have nearly everything except for a breast pump and some more bedding/blankets. At least when they are all ordered there will nothing left to get, and as everyone says - a little baby has very little need for material things.

I think the baby is lying very awkwardly today. Was woken up with a constant period type pain today. It is very sore (no contractions) in my lower right abdomen and back. It feels like the baby is lying on a nerve or something :(

hi cmd - hopefully you will have your baby soon and we can all celebrate! Most people buy too much for their babies -especially their first - you will probably find there are loads of things you never use!

Is your hospital bag all packed?

    Hi SavingH,

Yes, bag is packed and ready to go. Wish this crampy pain would go. At least if they were contractions I could get excited about them :)

I have tried to only buy what I think I will need, and have been reading tips from baby forums.

    How are you?

I'm okay - knee still very painful - first physio made a positive difference, second physio (Friday) felt like I had my legs cut open! Today has been a bit better but the weekend was agony!

Glad you have your bag packed - that baby and sleepless nights will be here before you know it!
