Thanks Tete - it makes so much difference that OH is working now. It was very difficult when I was the only earner but I really feel like we have turned the corner now. Next stop is to overpay on the mortgage!

Am grand thanks, been talking a lot with OH about moving in together so am getting really really excited about it
Do you think you'll have the £5000 saved by the time baby comes?

My weekend was ok CMD. House party was nice and I was glad I went. Bf left about 11ish on Saturday morning and mostly I just chilled out that day. Had two matches on Sunday, one of which we won, one lost.
So you're on maternity leave now? How are you entertaining yourself?DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Oh that is so exciting! It is a lovely time and you won't know yourselves! Have you got a date sorted yet? I think you are very sensible to wait until your overdraft is gone. It will be so much nicer now that you are debt free.
I think we will have saved about £4,500 by the 1st March but the baby might arrive before then. Defo won't make the £5,000 but we have had to buy lots of baby stuff as we don't know anyone who has had a baby. The savings will be enough to tide us over when I am on maternity leave so that feels goodTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Glad you had a nice weekend. We had friends over on Friday night and we made them a meal and then they stayed over. It was lovely.
Today I am doing some AQA and don't intend to much more beyond relaxing
From tomorrow I will start to go for a walk everyday and continue to chill out. I am very good at keeping my own company. My mother said even though I was a sociable child I also used to stay up in my room for hours playing with my Sindy dolls! I think I am a bit of a contradiction!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Yeah, me too. I'm always quite happy in my own company, which means I don't always make the effort to go and see people, which I enjoy as well when I get there...DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

You sound very like me. I am really extrovert but resent if I don't get to spend time by myself as well!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Oh I love a bit of time to myself too, just to potter about - it annoys me now that Dad has retired he's in the house all the time, hope I don't get like that with OH!clearmydebts wrote: »Have you got a date sorted yet?
Looking at June really I think, I'll have my £1000 by then and will feel more prepared for it. Very excited.
Hey CMD I want to pick your brains about Edinburgh! I'm off there next Thursday for one night (£19 Travelodge deal!) we'll arrive about 11am and leave again about 4pm next day. I've already been to the castle and zoo, and Princes St etc. I have a 2for1 voucher for the Dungeon, is that worth it? I copied some info you gave to Dinah a while back and have just been looking over it. You mention Arthur's Seat but I'm not sure what this is? Are there any must-sees/dos that I haven't thought of? What's Holyrood House like?
I'm thinking the Monster Mash cafe for a breakfast perhaps on the FridayAnd can you re-recommend some hearty pubs and remind me where they are - I think you're referring to previous posts in the bit I copied! Thanks for any input you can give!!
