I must admit the "thanks" thing irritates sometimes, but I appreciate that it is as much to keep track of where readers are up to than thanking for a useful post.

I hadn't realised that this is what the Thanks button is for now.

I stopped reading because the chat changed. I don't mind reading chat but it was getting to a page of people sending hugs to someone because they'd not slept well or something.

I don't use the Thanks button except for things that have been genuinely useful, or funny, or informative. Neither do I write long lists of messages to individual posters.

I don't mind that others do these things, but it does tend to make me feel almost as if I'm being rude by not doing it - especially the Thanks thing. If I post quite early in the day, I can come back to the thread later on and find that my post's been thanked 20+ times. As nice as that is, it makes me feel a bit mean for not going through and thanking everybody back :o even though I know it's supposed to be a matter of choice.

Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this . I too only use the thanks button for specific thankyous or if something made me laugh and yes, I do feel rude for not thanking everybody.

Totally agree Rzl:j - its an odd one as its the only thread i go on that does it.:A What is really funny though is observing the peeps who dont thank you but do thank all others :rotfl: :rotfl: but when that happens I tend to get over myself and go and get a life:rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway just wanted to say thanks to Pink and Pen for this opportunity for a moan and a comment the daily is loads better today as a result - well done girls:A :A

I have posted quite a few times on the daily thread but not for a long while, and I've never been a real regular like so many in here are. The reason being that I never have anything much to say - I live alone in a small flat and all my routines and saving methods are pretty sorted out, so I have little of interest to add to the conversation. I would merely repeat the same things more or less. :o
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
