I tend to speed read the daily these days, and just concentrate on the bits that I find interesting.

Debtfreewannabe see to have solved the problem - they have "What debt free things did you do today" and also a chat thread. Could we not have "What OS things have you done today" and a seperate OS chat thread?

I don't get to post much as my nearly 4 year old ds takes up a lot of time as does rebuilding our [strike]project[/strike] house. I like to read a bit in the eveinings when he has gone to bed (or even sometimes in the day if my dh is on leave - 12 weeks home, 17 weeks away).

I can see the point that a lot of people are making - they would like to concentrate on the OS aspect and how to achieve it. I would enjoy a thread solely dedicated to this. I do enjoy the occasional chat too, and think that for the sake of those of our OS friends that are housebound for whatever reason need virtual friends, then the means of enabling them to chat with like minded OS friends should stay. When dh is away at work I may appreciate the chance to discuss the results of an attempted OS day provided I can still think straight after ds has gone to bed.

It wouldn't take up that much room to split it would it? Just one extra line on the board. Could we just try it and see maybe?

Incidentally, I have never found the OS chat cliquey. Every person that I have contacted by PM either to attempt to give advice or to ask for some has responded in a friendly and polite manner.

Just a quick suggestion why not just split it into two separate threads? One for OS general chat and support and the other for purely OS daily hints tips and advice and that way we can all get the best of both worlds, support and new ideas!

More tips and less chat please - a plea from the impatient ones (like me) who lose the will to carry on wading through the stories to find the nuggets of gold.;)

Oh, and thanks for taking the time to ask our opinions.:T

    Hi Twink,
just to clarify, was the above statement directed at me or the thread in general?
    Thanks

That's not a bad idea, but there are already tons of OS tips in the index, as well as recipes etc, and the flylady thread for cleaning chat:confused::confused:
As a newbie in OS last year I felt very welcome, and just went with the flow of the thread, and didn't feel any cliqueness:o

as twink doesnt have a bad bone in her body i would say she is trying to make light of the thread, but if you wanna start having a go at her, then you have to go through me first:mad:

Jabberwock, I think Twink was trying to lighten the mood of this thread rather than have a go at anyone. See Candygirls reply to Twinks post. It is a bit of OS Daily humour that's all.
