Hi all,
I've been lurking for months , recently joined and thought I should finally post!
Today I've sent hubby off to work with a shopping list so he can pick up some bits on the way home. Once he's back I shall be making some Twinks Hobnobs and loads of Weezl's recipes to keep us going.
While I'm waiting for him I'll be using up my tomatoes, making soups, sauces and apple pie fillings with apples, dried fruit and green tomoatoes and freezing them.0 -
Today DS3 wanted to go to the park, but everything wet. Took him into coffee shop. I had coffee, but no cake and he bought some chocolate coins, from the store to eat in the cafe. I gave him his share as saved some for school siblings. I also gave him some OJ from home to take as a drink, in his beaker.
I've had toast for lunch, so didn't use cheese for packs.
Liver, bacon and onions for tea with pots and veg:D

Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself in the 'Getting to Know You' Section? You'll find it here.
I'm using up some left-over mashed potatoes to make potato cakes at tea-time. Might even add some grated cheese in the middle of them mmmmmmm.0 -
Morning All,
Annie and Kaat - please don't be so upset, I know there were some cross words over on the other post, and I too find it hard to see why they are so angry. I skip a lot of threads on here - only read the ones that interest me, like we all do, but I don't get angry cos the other threads are there! I posted two fairly long threads over there so better not repeat myself here!!
Kaat - I am soooooooo happy your OH likes the piccalilli recipe.
Squiggly - thank you for the compliment xx
*Makes a note that Squiggly may launch a midnight attack on her cheesecake and regrets telling her where the hiding place is*
Celyn - well done for finishing your dissertation, god I remember the sleepless night the night before it was due... All worth it in the long run though!
Feel better soon Smokey
bargainRzl - still trying to work out how to use my eon monitor too..
Mad_cash_cow and Dragonfairy - welcome both, you will love it here
Aussie - that is MY Aunty Sallys cake! And it never fails to be delicious. Really glad you liked it! She cooks it without any spices but I have always added the spices so include them on my recipe.
We had chicken for dinner yesterday so about to go find some recipes for something more interesting than fajitas which is what we normally do! Stripped the carcuss and there are enough bits there to feed the mad cat for about three days which will save on the cat food bills! (OH won't eat home made soup so can't use the bits for that)
*hugs* to anyone who needs them and congrats to anyone who is celebrating today.

Have you tried a good rub with biological washing liquidIt worked for DS's white rugby shorts
And while I'm on, why does the school PE kit have white shorts for DS (who plays rugby and football) and navy shorts for DD (who plays badminton and tennis)

Haven't read todays thread as am drained (and ridiculiously upset)by the "other thread" Honestly feel sick- its only when something like this start that I realiise how much i rely on it.
As for OS well at the moment all MY LIFE is OS. We are in severe difficulities at the mo so EVERYTHING I do is os(including cutting bits of mould off stuff I haven't used up in time. OS yes but who wants to hear about that?
Been sat here in tears which I KNOW is pathetic. Sorry. THe concert was fab and the journey waexcellent.
Have a nice day, Ann xxx
The really rude and offensive posters over 'there' are posters I've not seen before! What I don't like is that it is unusual for anyone on OS to get so nasty. Yes, there have been disagreements, but mostly done with some dignity and ending with being nice all round!
If they come over here - which I doubt then the 'ignore' button is the way to deal with them.
They must have small and sad lives to get so upset about so little!
I'm feeling tired today so I'm putting things away slowly and relaxing. Aaaaah ...0 -
Wanted to say a quick hello to dragon fairy and hope that anniestar is feeling a bit better.
Potatoes and onions are stored away ready for winter and we ate fish and chips on a new bridge overlooking the river and weir before setting off home.
Not doing healthy eating plan a lot of good but thoroughly enjoyed it."This site is addictive!"
