I did not want to mention the 'other' thread on here, but feel I have to, the offensive posters on there have really upset me too, and I felt I had to answer them back, i hope I have not upset anyone on this thread ? I just did not like to sit and do nothing when they were being sooo rude. I truly hope I have not upset anyone on here xx

    Afternoon everyone

I'm at home this afternoon doing some work so I thought I'd drop in.

So far today I've actually acheived very little. Plans for later on is making a loaf for lunches tomorrow. Does anybody have a recipe for really soft rolls? I think that would help dd eat more of her lunch.

We have the builder are coming on Thursday to actually start work on the lounge so I need to clear that later on with DH help. I have no idea where I'm going to put all the toys that are in there.

Tea was going to be Shepherds pie but I can't be bothered to peel the spuds so its changed to spag bol.

    have a good afternoon everyone

while I'm on, why does the school PE kit have white shorts for DS (who plays rugby and football) and navy shorts for DD (who plays badminton and tennis) :D

    Penny. x

Good question! and one I have asked myself many, many times - same with our school too.

Haven't posted on here for ages but decided I would today as a sign of support for the thread.

Have a huge pile of paperwork to file, but have put it off in favour of making bread rolls stuffed with bacon and cheese for tomorrow's lunchboxes, plus pizza bases for freezer to use up excess dough. Have made huge yorkshire pudding for re-heating later to go with sausage casserole for dinner tonight....all in my Remoska which is saving me a fortune and making everything taste wonderful. I used to think my panny was the best thing I ever bought but have switched allegiance to my Remoska now ;)

Am very impressed with myself as I have turned 6 back bacon rashers into cheese and bacon pasta for 2 (yesterday), 4 x cheese and bacon rolls today - and there is just enough left to make a quiche for 4 viable for tomorrow nights dinner - can also use up last of the salad if I do this.

Hi everyone - very late on here due to oversleeping and the rest of the day trying to catch up.

I wish I hadn't read the 'other' thread now! I really don't know what to say except that I think of this thread in the same way that I think of my 'real' friends, and I certainly talk about more than just that day's dinner with them. I hope it doesn't change but promise I will keep my rambling threads shorter and more 'on topic'. I am still sending (((hugs))) to everyone who is in need.

Dinner tonight is spaghetti bolognese with less mince and more lentils, followed by Aussie Lass's Impossible Pie (choccie flavour!). Lunch was toast with freshly-baked bread then HM flapjack, brekkie was porridge with seeds and sultanas.

Will call in later to see if anything has been decided about the thread - I suppose that was the original intention behind the initial post?
