kaatlady - they were £6.99, bargain I think! Also got some remote control plugs, turning off the telly was simply last night - well it was after ds had sorted all the wires out for me!
Aussie - everyone who's made that cake has said how good it was, off to find the recipe and give it a go later, thanks for the reminder!
Well I've read and posted my comments on the "what do you think...." thread, it seems a shame if our chat puts anyone off, and there was someone who said she felt unwelcome and ignored, so there are probably others too. I love this thread and the friendliness of it, off to think about how it could be improved. I would hate to see it moved off to the arms, as I think it is basically an os thread, albeit with chat!
Back to these bloomin courgettes again, wish I had a food processor!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Chatted to my DD this morning and she has suggested keeping Christmas pressies to £10 each. Good idea, but I will bolster them with home made apple and chilli jelly and maybe chutney as well.
Now I'm working two shifts in the charity shop I will get a few bits from there.
I've read the discussion on the 'About the Daily Chat' thread and posted my thoughts. I think it will be a shame if any ill feeling is created. I have found comfort on here at the times this year when I had problems when my mum died. It was the only place to post - not a suitable subject for a new thread and not something for the Money Saver's Arms.
I appreciated it very much.0 -

I think that's exactly how a lot of us feel hun:o Some peeps in the arms would make a mockery of some of our emotional posts:(

DH is about to drive me to a farm shop to get a sack of potatoes and maybe a sack of onions.
Made brekkie in the Remoska and much easier than using lots of pots and pans etc.
Might go and get three energy saving light bulbs for a pound from Sainsburys later and the tea can be remains of Sunday lunch done in moskie with extra roast potatoes to bulk it out.
Have been posting here for years and now not sure what I am allowed to say!!!
One of the nicest things about the thread was that you could post what was uppermost in your mind and get help and understanding, no matter what the subject was."This site is addictive!"

I've got some beans soaking and I'll cook them this afternoon. I have some cold sausages and will make a 'kind of' cassoulet.
Dh is off to see his mum tonight and will bring back apples. I will try to store some of them.
I also want to get on with my cardigan - the last front is nearly done - then I have to redo the tops of the sleeves.
Busy busy busy!! :rotfl:0 -
Morning peeps,
i`m late on here today as i`ve been so busy at w*rk.
I was up at three fortyfive this morning and out with the houndies, it was a bit spooky in the park but they loved it, i took advantage of the economy 7 electricity this morning and cooked the potatoes and mashed them for later and also cooked the green beans to have for tea tonight with leftover sausages. There should be some onion gravy in the freezer too so and easy tea to have later.
Yesterday i made some marmalade which is still as runny as it was in the pan, i hope to find a way to make it set and can only think of pouring all the contents of the jars back in the pan and adding pectin ( if i can find somewhere local that sells it) does anyone know if this will work or not please?
I shall have to empty the wm and dw when i get home later so i hope that the weather is ok to hang out the washing for a while before dark. Mr Sunnyday arrives home today so looking forward to seeing him.
Thankyou all for making my day and i shall read the rest of Pennys thread later when i get the time. I spend a lot of my day alone both at home and at w*rk and the people that i do see have no interest in OS at all. Everyone here has helped me immensly and i really don`t know what i would do without you all. This is in my opinion the friendliest thread of all.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0
