Oooh, another list - do you think we're all addicted???
Thank you to whoever added me - I've only had chance to read the last page so hugs to those who need them, some get well wishes to anyone with a cold (mine sort of started today then went again,.. very strange) and congrats to those who deserve them...
Exciting time for me this evening, I was sitting on the M25 minding my own business as I travelled home (traffic, 6.30pm, not moving - usual senario) when a lovely 2 seater SK500 Mercedes decided to smash into the back of my poor little vectra... I banged my head on the headrest quite hard, but felt OK.
Had to drive home for another hour after the accident during which time my sholder was really aching and beginning to hurt, so was then promptly dragged off to hospital by my mum under orders of hubby, DD & DS - talk about bossy. when I got there, the doc felt the bones down my spine by pushing on them, and because it really hurt, I was then kept very still and they made me lay down with a neck brace and things next to my head - that hurt more than my neck! anyway, long and short of it is I have apparently got pulled and bruised muscles in my neck and sholders now (better known as whiplash I think).
This is a pain in the neck (sorry about the pun!) because I have to drive back up to St Albans tomorrow and am then supposed to pack up one house and take it over to another - I hope I wake up OK, I need to earn money at the moment something drastic...
Anyway, moan over - sorry, no flying today (unless you count backwards in my seat) and the house looks OK, specially as dogs had been in the garden digging holes while I was at work and bringing all the mud in, so hubby had to vacuum and wash the hall and kitchen floors - smelt lovely when I got in and a nice suprise..
Am going to get some sleep now, as didn't get back until 10pm, then had my dinner coz I was absolutly starving...
Take care all...
Oh gawd you ok sweetie, hope you feel better but I reckon you'll stiffen up probably more overnight.
Whiplash is incredibly painful.
Homeopathic arnica is very good both internally (capsules) and externally (cream) for this. Can be found at Boots but ask a homeopathic if you need advice and want to go down this route.
Awwwww huggles to you from a distance and nowhere near your neck. xDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Just been catching up on the thread
Pigpen - Valli has an excel book, so I'm sure she'd like to help with your spreadsheet
Flower - I know we aren't allowed to give medical advice, so hopefully the hospital has advised you on medication. I had whiplash about 18 months ago (having said 'no, of course I won't have whiplash, its a very specific condition, I've just been jolted), and had physio for about 2 months afterwards. It's worth paying for the physio and claiming back on your insurance, as if you wait for the NHS to provide it you'll either have permanent damage to be over it. Hope you feel better soon.
I hope everyone else checks their headrests to make sure they are set up properly, as if they are it can significantly reduce the chances of getting whiplash.0 -

I think that's dreadful AnW'sMum! My view is it's not right. And to ask all to own up at assembly is wrong to! No-one's going to 'fess up in front of the whole school. It would have been far better to ask the boy to come and see them afterwards.
Blimey! I'm almost speechless!
And which poor school minion is going to have to dole out paper to a queue of 130 boys all 'bursting'...
PMd you AnWs Mum
Chances are it was a non flusher...followed by another non flusher...so no-one actaully realises he caused or helped to cause the problem...kids constantly need to be reminded to flush!
FORGET IT...FORGET EVERYTHING I HAVE SAID...
