Feel really tired today  so have not tidied up or cleaned microwave, but DID buy a lemon to use for microwave cleaning tomorrow.
Use half for that and save half for your gin - slice it ready then open freeze the slices...
finished work late and had time to stop in on Tesco for gloves, dusters and cleaning stuff (couldn't find stardrops - what do they look like!?) before being whisked off for a night out, stopping only to hoover the bedroom carpet.

Flower - I know we aren't allowed to give medical advice, so hopefully the hospital has advised you on medication. I had whiplash about 18 months ago (having said 'no, of course I won't have whiplash, its a very specific condition, I've just been jolted), and had physio for about 2 months afterwards. It's worth paying for the physio and claiming back on your insurance, as if you wait for the NHS to provide it you'll either have permanent damage to be over it. Hope you feel better soon.

I hope everyone else checks their headrests to make sure they are set up properly, as if they are it can significantly reduce the chances of getting whiplash.

Thanks Greenbee, I was the same as you, didn't want to go to hospital, thought I had just bumped my head, but better safe than sorry eh... glad I did now. Basically he has put me on painkillers - 2 x paracetamol x 4 times a day and 2 x ibuprofen x 3 times a day - seems a lot of painkillers a day to me, but I suppose they know best...

Thats sound advice about the headrests, mine was tipped back a bit too much, hence my neck went further than it should, it is straight now as I needed the support on the rest of the drive home, but should have done it before...

Thanks to everyone else for their good wishes too, you are all so lovely...

Just catching up on the rest of the posts now, see you all later...

    Morning all.

Even though the alarm wasn't set, here I am up and awake early! I guess my body clock is stuck.

DeniseF - sorry to read about your car accident. Was there much damage to the car? You need to inform your insurance company about the whiplash - you can claim for it. How are you feeling this morning?

I'm having a cup of tea now. Then I'm going to bath, have another cup of tea and then start packing

  • Sexymouse - congrats on the new post, hope you 'knock em into shape' quickly and enjoy it...

Kazwookie - I have 3 big red spots on my face at the moment, and I'm 45 - I get them every month now and it really p's me off - I didn't even get them as a teenager - what gives?

Lil_me - you're a lovely person and full of great advice - don't belittle what you know just coz you're not professional at it - first hand knowledge is brilliant and always helpful to people - often it calms people more to know that the light at the end of the tunnel is achieveable coz someones done it, not just because a professional is sitting there telling them it is... you bring more comfort to them than you know and well done you for making people smile.

Lilysue - well done for taking the plunge - never too old to learn...

Vanilla - glad you're back and that BO is on the mend

Polkadot - don't know what's up yet honey, as not found out but sounds like you were in hospital - hope you are on the mend - best wishes winging their way to you...

Dusty - did your cat want you to cook the catapillar for him? :rotfl:

Oh, I like this ' neck hurt' thing - just called DS to get up, said please don't make me get up to get you, and he shot out of bed and came to see if I was OK - that NEVER happens :rotfl: ... Mmmm, might have to make this last a bit, not that I'd be laying it on thick or anything...:rotfl:

Only caught up to page 49 now, will try to catch up again later when I'm back... take care all...

Morning Soappie, yes, I will ring them this morning - just couldn't face them yesterday - she has damaged my bumper and it has fell down once side too - my car is an old diesel vectra (T reg) and I'd be lucky if it was worth about £500 but is much needed, so I will have to see what they do at the repairers...

Have a great holiday won't you - are you looking forward to it?????:rotfl: :rotfl:

Cup of tea sounds good, think I will go and have a cuppa and some brekkie...
