lilysue took me ages too to find stardrops - none of the big supermarkets had it where i live - found it finally in a Savers shop!

Valli oh trust me i am on the case - MSE is great!!!
looked into trains, coaches, taxis, ... but 4 big suitcases, 4 handluggage, a stroller, and 2 little monsters on a bus
i even considered dropping the luggage off at the airport the day before but they want 6.50 per item
and i found a taxi that'll do us £45 per run - i think we'll take that one and save us lots of trouble and stress!!!!

Sounds like a plan, we did that while down south visiting inlaws. Would have cost us well over £100 for 3 train tickets back, plus it meant 2 changes and with me being quite heavily pregnant hubby jokingly asked a taxi driver how much to Edinburgh. Guy said £100:D Door to door, was very pleased;)

Bathed and now sitting down drip drying wrapped in a towel and dressing gown. Just found an interesting little fault in the processing of the ATM I used last night. I nipped up to the corner shop to use the link machine there to get cash to pay DiL's Dad for the new shower. I know it's not v. money saving as they charge £1.95 per transaction but I guessed it would probably cost me nearly as much in petrol etc. to drive to the nearest cash dispenser!

Anyway, I decided to take out £200.00 so I have a bit of cash for my hol as well. After £140.00 the machine stopped spitting out money and instead spit out a receipt saying £140.00. The chap at the counter told me it was because it had run out of money and not to worry, I'd only be debited the amount I got.

Just checked my bank account online. There are two entries for the ATM - a debit for £201.95 which is the £200.00 plus the charge then a credit for £61.95! So nett paid out is £140.00 - they have inadvertantly refunded the transaction charge as well - v. nice! :D I doubt they'll even notice so won't claw it back.

Denise - Hope you are ok, whiplash is nasty, please take care of yourself, dont do too much. Especially as you are taking painkillers, if you cant feel the pain you may overdo it and make it worse.

Soappie - Hope you have a lovely holiday.

Ahh, G&B, have you passed your exam? so sorry I missed it, congratulations to you, you have worked so hard on it... well done!

Thanks, I did think of that and he only put me on parrots-ate-em-all because I was in pain, but it seems OK this morning and I've not taken anything yet. I might just stick to the Ibuprofen to reduce the swelling, ect and leave the rest unless I feel rough for that exact reason, don't want to be zombified...:D

Right, really must get off here and get ready now - have a great day all...
