Thanks - I never think to look in the junk folder -but there it was.

so was mine.. i never look in there
chaps £20k out KE 06/10 in A&L 06/10 same day
  • Got my email 14.01 today (sunday)
  • has anyone re-started making deposits to their KE (now ING) accounts?

now that ING have taken over, and presumably the rates are still unchanged (can't find evidence to the contrary) it seems a good place to start putting money away again, at least until they announce what they intend to do with the accounts regarding interest rates.

    Thanks :)

No email for me (surname begins with a 'C' – not that that seems overly relevant) and when I went to the site to log on, there's no longer an option for me to do it! I opened my account after May 30th so I am one of those with the new style login...

However on the website there is now the following message:

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT PAYMENTS: When Kaupthing Edge encountered difficulties last week withdrawals were not able to be completed. ING Direct will be honoring all withdrawals and will continue to work to clear the backlog as quickly as possible. ING Direct has now started to make payments and is in the process of clearing the backlog of pending transactions in the system.

I was among the many who tried to withdraw my money last week so I am pleased to say it looks as though it will eventually turn up, which is something of a relief!

In that European leaders have together stated that they will not allow any major European bank to fail, and ING is one of Europe's larger banks, so it may help to allay some concerns about the passport scheme.

Yes, it's scheduled for 9.48am I believe.

    Got my emal 19.28.
I took money out and just left £1 in a few days ago.
I might put money back if the interest rate stays the same.

I only just noticed that I hadn't actually opened my email programme today...
and having just done so, I see that I have received the same email as everyone else! :o

Let's hope my money is as quick to re-appear!

  • Well I received the email but I just can't login. Is anyone still having a problem logging in?

As I said above, I don't even have the option to log in – there's nothing where the log in button used to be! :rotfl:
