    Somnium,
Just wanted to say a huge congratulations!!!! hope you have a wonderful 8 months and then together with your baby for the rest of your life.
As for me, still waiting for tests results from Immune testing before going again.
Stilll trying aue naturel in the mean time, but with one badly damaged tube the odds are nigh on inpossible.
    Ever hopeful however

Hiya Nottslass, hows it going - are you 13 weeks now? Glad the scans have gone well. If you are, then you must be starting with a bump! Hope you are enjoying it and best wishes for the coming months.

    Lilo

I'm 9 +2 ,but I was offered an extra scan as part of a study my clinic are doing.

As for a bump,I put on 8lbs on holiday !!! - my excuse is that eating was the only thing that stopped me feeling sick.Me thinks I'll have to exert some self control before I regret it.

    Hope you are well

It is so quiet here!!!!! Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather!

Well, I got news from hospital - they assigned the date for laparoscopy, and it is going to be on July 4th, so a bit less than 1 month. It works out really well with the timing, as I am away next week, then a week to 'recover' from holiday, pre-operative assessment on Monday and operation on Friday.

Now, can anyone who had laparoscopy share with me how long were they kept in hospital? I need to arrive for laparoscopy at 1pm. What are the chances I will be going home the same day? How many hours did you stay at hospital post-operation and how long laparoscopy took?... Sorry - so many questions!!!!!

OH will have to pick me up from hospital, and I don't want him sitting around and waiting. I'd rather he stayed at work and saved his annual leave for more fun things.

    .

I was out the same day, sore but otherwise fine. I tried to go back to work after a week but couldn't sit upright at my desk! I went home after an hour or two, and had another week off.

There will be two incisions, one through your belly button and a much smaller one in the area around your bikini line.

Thanks for quick reply!!! Although I knew for a few weeks that I will be having laparoscopy, but it only really hit me that it is an operation with ga on Saturday, when I received a letter...

Oh, and about time off - I hope I'll have the two weeks off! I don't move in the office at all (well, apart from a few steps to the loo and to refill my water bottle), and I have such an uncomfortable chair/desk, it annoys me! I complained a couple of times, but was given a new chair, which is even worse, and I am just fed up - I am here for over a year and I still haven't had my assessment done (and we have a human factors department - obviously, only for the clients...).

I think it depends on who does the surgery etc as to how sore you'll be. Some surgeon came to explain what they'd seen and show me colour pics as I was still coming round from the procedure!

Got my appointment through from St Mary's but it's too soon (how often does that happen!). They want me to have bloodwork done on the second day of my period and get it all sent to them before my appointment; well I haven't even had a period yet since my d&c. So I'll have to get the date changed. Bit ironic really, given how much I've been wanting the appointmebnt.

I must say, the forms to fill in are massive and filled me with horror. Just the thought of explaining the whole past five years all over again to a new set opf people.....

I've had two - two different times in my life when I had difficulties ttc!

The first went well. I had the laparascopy late afternoon and was home by 9pm that night. Recovery time wasn't too bad.

The second was last year, when I was 10 years older. Had the laparascopy around 6 ish and although it was supposed to be day surgery they weren't happy with me and kept me overnight. Ended up being in for 2 nights as I was in quite a lot of pain afterwards, and it took a good 2-3 weeks to recover from it.

Different surgeons both times but not sure whether it was that which caused the problems or just that I was older and less fit second time round.

Hope yours goes well. Plan for the worst case scenario in recovery terms, and with luck you'll bounce back a lot more quickly than you expect.

Oh Toniq, I know just how you feel today - could have written that post myself!

A lovely weekend spent with OH, doctor appointments now planned and hopefully we will start to move forward - but babies, babies everywhere we looked and went. Hard to hold back the tears for a whole two days so am making up for it now, x
