Fantastic angeldavis!!!! Nice way to start the week!!!

FE- best of luck for you today, hope all goes well!

Now, if just my consultant would be so kind as to tell me when am I having the laparoscopy, I would be much better!!! If it is not happening this week, I can't have it done before we go on holiday (I want to have 2 weeks for recovery with long haul flight). I was hoping to be ttc while we are all relaxed and on holiday, but that is not to be, as it seems!

Jiblets1, I'm on clomid too. I've just done my third month, af due today and all crampy so I guess it hasn't worked this month. I have been much more teary and sooo hungry after ov that I've put on a stone - aaarrrggghhh. The side effects were worse the first month, and each subsequent one has been easier. Don't know if this helps at all.

I hope it is all going well FE.

Hope all of you on clomid are sticking with it - your body needs to get used to the hormones I think, look on it as practice for being pregnant, your hormones are all up the shoot then as well!

Hi toniq - I hope you are only with us a short while, but will be glad of the company whilst you are!

It's great to read of the successes from people on this thread, albeit in many cases at the early stages. It's strange how when reading of a success, the reactions are always the same. There is the initial, 'that's great news', followed immediately by the depressed feeling of 'why can't that be us'.

Just seeing people having difficulties conceiveing (as we are) and coming through it with a BFP gives us encouragement that our dream of having a child may one day come true.

In terms of an update from us, unfortunately we have nothing of note to report. We'll probably be going for our second IVF process in August / September. I just wish we went down the IVF route long before this. Even though IVF is unlikely to bring us any success due to our circumstances, it would have been nice to have known that fact before we reached our 8th anniversary of trying for a baby.

Worse things happen at sea so they say...

Thanks all for the thoughts on the clomid. I feel much more motivated to carry on with it all now. Apart from a near miss or two this morning I've not been particularly teary today, so that's a big help too. I guess it was the hormones speaking. And hubby has been really supportive, so that helps.

I just need to get some extra sleep now, I think I need to invest in better curtain lining for that to happen!
