MillesMum & FG - Haven't found a coat yet. I thought of getting a bigger size to, but am worried about the growth at the front meaning boobs and bump. Might have to try some on in the shops and see how i go.

I need a new coat too :( Might have a mill around the charity shops this weekend if I feel up to it... feeling very icky today for some reason - have had a couple of decent days but took a serious step back today... Nearly 11 weeks so guess that the hormones are doing an about turn at the moment...
Just hope it settles down - DH is flying to Canada Monday - back Saturday so a while week on my own feeling icky is not sounding like my idea of fun... Bah humbug.
At least he'll bring me pressies as he gets to go through Duty Free and also should have a wee bit of time to check the local shops for me if I can think of anything i want... shame I can't come with him and buy some clothes I guess...

I'm with you Tine, I had a really good couple of days up until Wednesday and I started feeling really rotten again... 11 weeks on Monday...

This is the coat I bought while on honeymoon http://www.newlook.co.uk/1472777/147277709/ProductDetails.aspx

I'm hoping to get a good few months out of it as it only buttons halfway down... Although TBH when I was having DD I felt so hot all the time I sent most of December, January and February wearing vest tops and sitting near open windows...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Ohhh ....i like that coat KK...think i might pop into New Look over the weekend and see what they have stock.
  • This is the coat I got from evans

It's not the thickest to be honest but since I seem to be taking the layered approach to pregnancy (no temperature controls!) it is working for me.

Never had a red coat before and it is making me feel pregnant and proud!

Best wishes to all those due, overdue, about to be due or have recently given birth!

MFD - that one is lovely!!!!! i can't wear red myself, don't have the confidence and my cheeks tend to flush to that colour quite regularly :D

Will take a look at what else they have on offer though.

hi i'm feeling a bit stressed. it's probably the hormones. 1st day of my last period was 12th september. we decided to start trying for a baby just over a week after this. period didn't arrive so did a test and was positive!! went to the doctors 4 days after period was due. as is often the case in my gp the regular doctors were away so i had a locum who said i'd have to bring in a urine sample the next day and then when i had a positive result from that i should make an apt with my regular gp. gave them the sample a week and a half ago and they still say they have no results back from the hospital! i have made an apt to see my regular gp on 7th november anyway. but am worried that i haven't had any advice in the meantime? when should i have a first scan? the locum doctor gave me a prescription for folic acid and said to be aware of any pain or bleeding as that would show an ectopic pregnancy.

am i fine just hanging out till the 7th nov to see the doctor. i'm guessing i'd be about 8 weeks pg by then.

Must be hormones then! I'm 11 weeks on Sunday ;) Well according to the emergency scan at 6 weeks anyway... They didn't change my EDD though but hohum...

Love the coat - I was going to have a look at a Next coat as I really like them - but I don't want to spend a fortune in case I never wear it again. Oh choices! GAAAH!

Right off for a snooze - feeling really rotten today - bah humbug!

hiya i am new to the pregnancy club. so wanted to say hi :) i am pregnant with my 3rd child due on the 11th january. i have quite a large gap between my children... my son is 15 (will be 16 in january) and my daughter is 10. this one is a girl or so i have been told at the scan... we asked a few times, but i am panicking a bit now as i have bought pink paint for her bedroom, pink drawers and my mum is making her a princess palace crossstitch picture (which is pink!) and she has also bought me some girlie tops. i have only bought white babygrows tho.
i am having a great pregnancy (touch wood) morning sickness stopped almost exactly as i turned 12 weeks, i am not having too much heartburn, got a few leg cramps at night but not every night. my vit b12 is low apparently, so had a few blood test done but thats it really.
it is getting closer to the day now (11 weeks left) so i have started thinking about buying stuff!!! lol, all i have is a sterilizer and some babygrows, vests, nappies, bath stuff, a towel and a blanket.

    Welcome Ninky and Lucinad :)
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.
  • Ah bless you AF - are you on a mission to make me feel good today? The swing style has lots of room for growing so I think it should see me through - no matter how big I get.

I had a big M burger from McDonalds for lunch (my colleague took pity on me and went out!) - they are quite peppery and a bit too tasty to be a mcdonalds but it did the trick...and really I was only hankering after the milkshake :D

Anyone else finding these short days a drag? I feel like I could sleep for England - thank god it is friday today!

Edit to say - loads of people posted whilst I was trying to post!!

Ninky - welcome! Take the folic acid, look after yourself and sit tight I guess. You would normally need to see a Midwife rather than your GP but then again most GP's don't take a sample to check you are pregnant (they just take your word for it!) so yours might do things differently.

lucinad - you need to start shopping lady ;o) Welcome aboard! They usually don't tell you at the scan if they aren't reasonably sure do they?
