  • Jvic - you have a long way to go yet and these things become clearer as you progress through your pregnancy. I wouldn't worry too much for a while.

    How're you feeling?

My boyfriend has spoken to his employer this morning who said they should be able to compress his hours to 4 days a week and he should be able to work from home 1 day a week which helps as we only have to find care for 3 days. If I work every weekend and have my 2 days off in the week thats takes it down to 1 day a week which maybe my mum might do (I don't want to bank on it though as she lives 30 miles away).

I'm sure we'll work it out in the end.

are you a secretary stylee admin or an IT admin? (sorry just I'm a secretary style admin :)) If your the same type as me and aren't earning the top whack you may find that your better off not working full time or poss at all.
Are you sure you'll want/need to go back? you may be surprised once baby comes. I won't be going back to work after 2nd baby arrives purely because there is no way I'll be able to pay for childcare and have no family that can mind them. thankfully we can live comfortably on OH's wage *phew*

MFD, if you think a child sleeping with a light on is a horror story then you really are keeping your head in the sand... It is a good job you're having the perfect baby... ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

AF: its prob a bum ;) that was the only bit of chris I could ever find :rotfl: he does have a lovely squidgy bum! cheers me up no end to give it a little squeeze he thinks mummy is bonkers but seriously there is no joy like a cute little baby bum being squeezed (I'm sane honest!)

Hi all.. Yay, I get to post during the day today too! :)

Funeral went well this morning - well, as well as funerals go! (you know what I mean!). It was only a small family service. I don't see OH's parents much (although talk to his dad on MSN a few times a week) and it was nice to do a bit of bonding over a cuppa afterwards.

I'm determined to get the house straight today. OH's sister may call in this afternoon and I can't have her seeing the house in the state it's in - she's got two kids and a high-powered fulltime job and her house is never this state!

I'm 9+6 today which is went it went wrong last time. Here's hoping I make it to tomorrow! :) Have had a few pains which I'm sure were actually just trapped wind so I'm trying to take my mind off it.

Daily dose of labour vibes for SB and Miss C! :)

I'm fine thanks. I know it's a long way off yet, I'm only in the very early stages but I just want everything to go smoothly. I don't want our child to suffer due to money. I'm sure it'll all fall into place though. People manage don't they?....

    Thanks for asking.

    I hope you're well.

My boyfriend hates touching my bump because it so hard and think the baby moving around is gross.

    Still nothing is happening

I'd much rather not go back, especially as child care is way more expensive than anticipated. However, we can't survive just on my OH's wage. I work in an office mainly on the pc, wage isn't great but not too bad, but with a mortgage and childcare costs there would be nothing left. I also have no family close to help really, who knows eh? We'll see.
