elle_gee, hope you're feeling better soon...I can't believe how tired I get at the moment too. I've always got tired quite easily but now I find myself falling asleep even when sitting up sometimes!

I had my 12 week scan yesterday (and slept very badly the night before...why do I do this to myself? :o) and everything seems to be fine :T. The baby appears to have a head, two arms (with some fingers) and two legs..so that's definitely a good start! I was surprised by how much waving, kicking and rolling about was going on...although at first I had to ask the sonographer if it was the baby doing it, or just me somehow moving its arms ..I was looking at the screen rather than DH when I asked, but I am suspicious that I heard some suppressed laughter at the time...The sonographer was really good and spent ages doing measurements and explaining what each view was etc. Apparently I have a 4 cm cyst on one of my ovaries...but the sonographer seemed to think that it was a pregnancy cyst and would go at about 14 weeks...so I've decided not to worry about it (unless it's still there when I have my next scan!)

Sorry, seemed to have waffled on a lot..hope everyone has a good day today.
Glad your scan went well hun x

  • Feelie - are you psychic???

Just got into work - not checked up on you lot yet so hope everyone is okay.

Right - flying solo with MW wasn't too bad at all.

    Wee okay this time.
    BP fine.
She had a good feel of bubba and said she 'thinks' he is head down. I think my placenta is up front (she hinted at this last time) because she was having a good old feel and struggled to find the heartbeat for a while (she ended up taking it from the side).
Our hospital is taking part in some research on heart problems in newborns so they are monitoring something to do with the hands and feet at 3 and 6 hours post birth...am I interested in taking part??? Am I ever!! Non-invasive heart testing :T sounds like a step forward for me (if the study works of course!) MW was saying that something like 90% of heart defects don't get picked up on the first listen with a stethoscope  - but will check that in the info pack I have and confirm with you all later.

Next appointment is New Years Eve and is to write my birth plan...that doesn't mean that I am getting close now does it??? ;)

Think that's it...other than I def haven't got a medical prescription card - I def haven't sent the form off (I am so bad for not reading the stuff she gives me :o ). Have got another form so will get that sorted today.

Right - off to see what you lot have been up to :D

I'm quite looking forward to doing a Jamie oliver fish pie
    And some sausagemeat meatballs.

I'm supposed to be doing my menu plan and shopping list for this week (it could be said that I am slightly list-obsessed )...although I have to go to a Christmas party now..oh well :p. It used to be a case of trying to do a range of different and interesting meals each week (well, that was the theory, anyway)...now I just say to myself...okay, what is the quickest thing I can make that we haven't already had six times this month? :rotfl:

See OH was moaning because I was cooking pizza and chips etc, he likes to think he's jamie oliver and gordon ramsay rolled into one (saying that he is a very good cook) but now he's out working I'm the chef, I need to find things that I dont cook all the time such as spag bol etc
Me, I could live on jacket tattie and cheese 7 days a week I'm not fussed! :o

  • Elle - prawns in grimsby are about as fresh as they are ever going to be - I would eat away!!! But that's just me!

I think I am going to have to stop telling you ladies things - I keep putting a jinx on myself! After saying yesterday that hubby and I had found a way to get around the whole stroppy hormonal cow thing we ended up arguing last night :o Well actually, not so much arguing as stormily ignoring each other. The inconsiderate so and so didn't even say anything about my MW app when he left this morning  so he has had a few choice texts off me.

And we still don't have any central heating

  • I think it was because the reason for the bleeding was the low placenta, they recomment no nookie for that...

AM, DD fave dinner is jacket potato with tuna mayo, she'd eat that every day given half a chance!

I'm just off to do some scrambled egg on toast... Seems to be my favourite at the moment..
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
