Do you guys get tested for MRSA? I had to give a nose and groin swab today! If you test positive, you get your own room!

I'm back! Everything looks normal. Baby is in same position, with head down. She had to tip the bed back to get him to come out so she could check his face. Legs are really, really long still, and its definitely a boy. Estimated weight is 1lb 1oz.
Blimey, my ones estimated weight was 12oz!
Glad it all went well xxx

    hi girls.

have just scanned the last 8 pages that i missed due to workin til 11 again last night, its really catching up on me. couldnt get up at 9am with DD this morning. dread the thoughts of doing it again tonight!!!! :(

anyways, was at doctors yday, congrats all round and has referred me to hospital. because i have noclue of my last period, she has guestimated that im due 25th july,so i guess that makes me roughly what? around a month n half?? i cant wait to get my 1st scan.wish i even knew the date as would give me something to concentrate on.

told my family yesterday aswell.....all in shock, but pleased.
also brought a few thinsg to my attention that i had not thought of yet, such as: requre bigger car (really needed one for DD, but funds did not approve)
double buggy, decorating of spare room (which means removal of spare double bed and no more friend stayovers!), possible leaving work - hard enough to get DD babysat never mind adding another one to the list......lots more things i dont even want to thik about right now........
    Carla-Farla!! :)

Mummy to Katie (27.11.07) and Christopher (05.08.09) ♥♥
  • Carla - how old is DD?

We are getting DSS a bunk bed that has a sofa/double futon underneath - perfect for us to sleep on (in with DSS) when we have people over who need a bed (they will have ours) - it's a possible solution if DD is old enough.

My nephew has one of these beds and it is surprisingly comfortable to sleep on.

    Hi all
Just popping in with a quick question - my blood pressure has been low all preganancy but I'm 30 wks now and it fallen to 80/50. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do about it?? Midwife doesnt seem too concerned and is happy to see me again in 4weeks.
    thanks

    morning (sorry afternoon!) ladies
well Mrs Tine feel free to be as smug as you like - after me saying m/s had gone I've been sick this morn and yesterday morn *humpf*
Hubby didn't try to jump me last night, he gave me a quick massage then a cuddle n kiss and went to sleep very nice :D

I think it was chopstick who said the womb looks bigger than she thought  its coz its filled with water that baby "swims" in ;) I love that scan pic, I think it looks more like a puppy than a baby :rotfl:

Elle: prawns are fine if fresh n cooked which I assume your mum/dad will be doing (don't fancy raw ones much!) its shell fish thats dodgy like muscles n oysters and even then its only if not eaten hot n fresh.

My hips are killing me :( not spd tho its my rubbish bed there are springs jibbing my bum n hips all night I feel like I've been punched in the hip! plus my right hip feels dislocated again I can't put my weight on it proper :(

MFD: I don't want to scare you but a lot of heart conditions are missed, its very important to make sure your baby is seen by the pediatrician before being discharged from hosp (part of the reason I don't like HB as I don't know what they do for this) all babies are born with a tiny hole in the heart that seals itself within hours of being born which in the case of my best friends daughter almost hid the fact she had transposition of the great arteries (her aorta n veva cava where attached the wrong way round) but it was picked up when the doc put that little red light thing on her foot as her o2 levels were low and getting lower as they monitored her  cue one ambulance ride to alder hay and open heart surgery  she's perfectly fine now but it scares me that if she'd gone home earlier she may have died in her sleep.
please don't worry about it as it is rare - just wanted to share the story as I hope you will take part in the study to help others ;)
