    Morning

right lots to catch up on

No.2's- no change from normal. Think that my fruit and veg intake is helping and using spatone for iron supplements with vit c so no probs there!

s*x - MrsTine, we've only attempted it twice since BFP  and that was ebfore the bump appeared - now it freaks us both out and it's like having someone watching you  I've warned hubby of his duty come due date, but we'll have to see ..........

scans: I had one at 10wks privately and it was very clear and just a normal on the stomach style scan.

Tonight is our last antenatal class so that should be interesting and I'm about to dash off and visit a friend for lunchtime :D have a good day

r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this response :p
  • DH and I had a nookie ban for 4 weeks because of the bleeding... We made up for it over 1 weekend... and haven't had any since lol... Yesterday was his birthday and I think he was looking forward to a bit of birthday nookie but thanks to my second sick bug in 2 months (the last one being my birthday!) he didn't get lucky... Might put all the new bedding on today and see how I feel later... Sickness is back down to morning sickness levels but walking DD to school this morning nearly killed me, if it hurts my back this much at 4 months how hard will it be at 8 months?!!

FG, sure this scan will be fine, and ask lots of questions about what they're looking at... I'm still blown away that I saw DD brain on her 20w scan and I got a fantastic piccy of her spine at the same time!

Elle, Really don't stress about housework, I think we've all been through it... Be thankfull you don't have a 4yo messing up what it just took hours to tidy... Everything takes more effort when you're feeling so rank so the best thing to do is curl up on the sofa... If your DH is supportive then just give it time, your energy does start to come back and the sickness starts to lesson... Honest!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Are you supposed to abstain when you have bleeding? They didn't tell me that, and we carried on as normal!

Pregnancy has done wonders for our sex life. I used to really dislike my body, but I can't feel anything but wonderful about a body that can house a baby, so I'm feeling pretty good about me!

I want to see baby's fingers again!

They are really clear on the DVD I got from the gender scan, the pic is a little blurry, but he has fingers! Funny how amazing it is, isn't it.

  • elle_gee, hope you're feeling better soon...I can't believe how tired I get at the moment too. I've always got tired quite easily but now I find myself falling asleep even when sitting up sometimes!

I had my 12 week scan yesterday (and slept very badly the night before...why do I do this to myself? :o) and everything seems to be fine :T. The baby appears to have a head, two arms (with some fingers) and two legs..so that's definitely a good start! I was surprised by how much waving, kicking and rolling about was going on...although at first I had to ask the sonographer if it was the baby doing it, or just me somehow moving its arms ..I was looking at the screen rather than DH when I asked, but I am suspicious that I heard some suppressed laughter at the time...The sonographer was really good and spent ages doing measurements and explaining what each view was etc. Apparently I have a 4 cm cyst on one of my ovaries...but the sonographer seemed to think that it was a pregnancy cyst and would go at about 14 weeks...so I've decided not to worry about it (unless it's still there when I have my next scan!)

Sorry, seemed to have waffled on a lot..hope everyone has a good day today.

  • Thanks for all your suggestions yesterday . I stocked up on fruit , activia and those yoghurt drinks which as susposed to be good for the third trimester at helping you stay bug free ( MRSA etc.. ).

I didn`t sleep too bad last night about from OH snoring and we had a very early morning txt from boots to say our parcel would be delivered today but 6.00am is a little too early for that !!!

We have not had a nookie ban in our house its more the other way around with OH fending me off but he normally says" but you won`t sleep" or" your get indigestion" ( joy..lol). Though I did try my evening dress on for him last night and the tables were turned ..lol.

Have to find someway of giving myself a pedicure as i can`t bend that well as i`m wearing strappy shoes on Friday and my feet look rather forlorn and unloved...

First i have to do the ironing :(

Well, that was entertaining. I went in for my GP appointment (that the surgery insisted I needed) only to be told by the GP that I don't actually need to see her for 3 more weeks. She was very nice about it - was more frustrated that they told me I had to get in right away - apparently it's an ongoing problem there. She was very upbeat - told me congratulations (even sounded pleased for me) and said she hoped this one was a sticky one. And said see you just after Christmas - relax and enjoy it. I really like the GP - very straightforward but friendly as well. Not brushing you off in a hurry. So rare to find that, I think.

Other than that, I'm just enjoying the little waves of nausea today, and waiting to see if it kicks in again this evening. We're having fish & chips for tea, so at least I don't have to cook today and cleanup will be a breeze.

Hedgehog - glad everything went well with the scan - always so great to see them bouncing about in there!

I had to laugh at the nookie ban discussion though. DH asked what I was laughing at and just told him "trust me, you don't want to know.":rotfl:

On Page 12 of the online form it says:

"Send or take this form to Jobcentre Plus. You can find the phone number and address in the business section of the phone book. Look under Jobcentre Plus."

    http://www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/claimforms/sf100_print.pdf

It looks like it is supposed to go to your local Jobcentre Plus.

You can search for your local one here:
    http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/Aboutus/Ouroffices/Search/LocalOfficeSearch.aspx
I'd give them a quick call to check that that is where you are supposed to send it.
