MFD I'm gonna get a breast pump from ebay, they are sterilised anyway and I'll obviously sterilise it before I use it, then if it dont work out I can put it back on ebay.
I'm sure also if you buy bottles and they are ot opened you could take them back, I did when I cought advent ones, took them back and swapped for TT ones. that was Boots, 5 years ago though :o

Also - whilst we are on the subject of BF - I am intending to try to BF (but trying not to pin all my hopes on it and put pressure on myself). Is it better to wait until after bubba is born and see how I go before I buy a breast pump & bottles? Or should I buy and hope that it all works out? If I buy and don't open I am assuming that mothercare (or boots or wherever) will take it back? Are there any places that are better than others at taking things back to?

    Questions, questions!

Personally I'd buy a pump after the birth (online shopping or at tesco or similar). Most places will operate a 14 or 28 day returns policy. Bottles? - hmm - hard to say! Not sure about that one..... (sorry - not very helpful!0

    ah I remember!
AM: I don't know why people are down on staffies they are so lovely and make great pets! I'd have one :)
We called the vet about my dog and hey said they would only put her on medication if she has fits at about once a week  we do have stuff to give her when she is fitting but as she's at my mum n dads and they both work full time we worry she'll have one when we're not there as twice when one has been off ill or something she's had a fit in the day its a rubbish situation coz I could with a bit of diy make room for her here but not enough room for 2 dogs and we can't separate them its total rock n hard place! humpf

I b/f Chris for about 2 weeks but had nothing but trouble and stress and decided to stop but I'll be giving it another go this time, as greent said expressing is a bit of a nightmare so if you try to express from the start I reckon you'll give up pretty quickly. medla are the best ones and they were on offer in boots recently but not sure if they still are, you can also hire medla ones which is cheaper if you want the top o the range one ;)

Yes they are one of nly 2 breed that are recomended as family/child friendly dogs.
My staffie was a rescue and she's as dosile as anything, she'd be a crap guard dog, I think she was mis treated as she's very scared easily, she's scared of her own bloody shadow, but she's so loving and loves cudlles.
She also thiksshe's bloody human

    Aww your poor doggy :(

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=140285697413&Category=100968&_trksid=p3907.m29&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2
I wanted to get a bath box, wasnt really bothered about a baby bath but if I get it all for 99p or even a fiver i'd be happy.

MFD: baby moves round loads nothing to worry about yet its just how they draw the picture ;)
I've taken bottles back to tesco unused with receipt about 2 weeks after I bought. my advice is possibly get a cheap hand pump (I got TT CTN one which was about £10) then if ness get an electric one afterwards when you know whats what. if you do get bottles before hand just get 2 and then you can get more afterwards - b/f babies can be VERY fussy about which bottles they take so no point buying loads only for bubs to say no. (if you do solely bottle feed you would need 8 bottles)

  • MFD, I think baby still has a bit of room to move but your MW should be able to tell tomorrow which way he is lying.

I had already been given a steriliser from a friend and also had a few Dr Brown bottles in my baby shower hampers. Some 'camps' say that you 'shouldn't' buy in advance to avoid 'temptation' if things don't go to plan .

And you won't recognise Liverpool now! :D.

thanks for advice on HB it was something i hadnt really thought about and kind of went into a panic as i havent arranged anything. OH said where ever i will be comfortable and happy but you knw what its like with hormones and silly panics!!!

breast feeding i am planning on BF however if it doesnt work out i wont beat myself up about it and i also try to start adding bottles around 4 months so if i need to go out or need a break then it is possible!
