sorry Tine, my m/s may have gone but my cold is still here and its robbing me of my voice! I have to whisper all the time now I sound just like jeremy c did on last nights topgear (yep hubby wouldn't give in! picking on me when I'm weak )
Tine do you remember that my doggy had a fit a while back? well she's had 2 more and they're getting worse  I'm sooo worried that we're gonna have to send her to heaven
    Is it epilepsy?
When I was growing up we had 2 alsatians and they had epilepsy which was controlled by drugs, they lasted a long time, after diagnosis.

Blood test results came back as 1 in 25,000, so very low risk. I shall send him to work as normal. He isn't bothered about missing this scan, as we shall be booking the 4D one soon.
    He'll be fine hun.
I had to travel up to london (live next to Gatwick) on my own and had the distinct possibility that there was a heart problem and I surprisingly coped fine, even after sitting next to a young couple in the waiting room who's baby had a defect in his heart valve after having a CVS :( I really felt for them.

God it's took me ages to catch up!
    Sorry for your loss Mirrior.
Glad it all went well skinty.

OMG I have had no TV or internet since 1.30pm yesterday, it's only came back on at 7am!
My best mate come round after work last night and couldnt beleive how big my bump is, I thought it was just fat but she said it's too high up and rounded to be fat.
She's such a diamond, she said she wants to buy me the steriliser and a bouncy chair, I tried to tell her no but she wont ave any of it.
I picked out the cheapest steriliser but she wont buy it, she's getting me the new Advent one, and the bouncy chair I wanted in the first place, I thought it was a really nice gesture.
Was also talking about buggies and I was explaining that I found a decentish buggy that I like which is pretty cheap but OH said he wont buy it as it;s not the one I really want, he said not to worry about the price seeing as I'm not paying for it, but I cant justify buing a £300 buggy!
So I need to try and find one similar to the silvercross one AF posted for cheaper!
    Hope everyone is ok xxxxxxxx

    morning AM,

the silver cross one that i posted (that i am very interested in) also had the car seat included for £300, but saying that, i can't remember if you needed a car seat  from memory they are £80 - £100 on their own.

there are some on ebay, but i guess it depends on whether there are any near you (for collection) or with reasonable courier rates.

as for BF, i am wanting to do this, and am also interested in the expressing as i might be going back to work after 6 months. KK your wisdom please, and other ladies ???

i'm not feeling flash this morning. quite a few pulling pains when i was moving around during the night and cramping across my belly when i tried to get up this morning. this coupled with the fact my stomach seems to want me glued to a loo (which i thought had passed), and i am at work !!

hope all are well today :D
  • Morning all!

We had no central heating last night (having a combi boiler fitted as part of hubbys 'nesting') and we were fine snuggled up on the sofa in front of the fire, then with 4 hot water bottles in bed but boy was it cold this morning  I really struggled to drag myself out of bed!

Krystal - my full body cushion arrived last week but I can't make it work for me at the moment - I don't want to put it in between me and hubby (unless he has been drinking smelly beer ;) ) and if I put it on the other side of me then I can't get over it to get out of bed for a wee :o

Hoping it comes in useful when I am further along.

When I got into bed last night bubba was violently kicking the bed as I lay on my left hand side - brought tears to my eyes it was so hard. Seems like it is the day for wierd pains.

    Hope you are okay AF.

I do need a car seatas OH is getting a car soon, hopefully by or just after Xmas.
I'm still really undecided on a buggy so think i'll just keep looking then when we have the money we'll go to babies r us, and look for some independant baby shops in our area.
As for expressing, my friend bought one of those meleda breat pumps off ebay for pretty cheap, apparently they are the best ones.
Sorry you feeling a bit crud, how many weeks are you again?

  • AF, I fully intended to BF all through my last preg but I only managed it for one day in the end as I was in agony. The most important issue for me was my baby being fed so I asked for formula and Poppy had it from that day on. I have no hangups about it as it was the right decision for me at the time :). I'm still debating what to do ths time as I obviously know BF is best but FF in the end gave me so much freedom :o and I could rest while my family squabbled about who was feeding her next ;).

I never thought it would be so hard chosing a pram did you? I know I am being a bit picky about wanting a few things, but it is just so hard. Will let you know I see any bargins on the silver cross :D

    I am 26 + 4, and can't believe that

Oh, sorry to hear MFD that boy bug is giving you hard kicks. Getting in his football practice I imagine.

I had a few kicks over the weekend that i am sure made my pj top move, but I am not so sure as i just think it was out of the corner of my eye. I could be wrong, but thankfully it wasn't painful. I really feel for you

    Thanks SB.

I would love to BF, but know that I might not be so lucky in that I or bubs can't take to it. I of course, as all of us, would prefer to breastfeed, but like you say the important thing is that bubs is feed and if that means formula then i will go with that.

I appreciate the ease with others feeding too. I do feel that I would love hubby to be involved in feeding so he can have his time with bubs.
