The problem with marrying a man who's Mother suffered Munchaussens(sp) by proxy is that he thinks you need medical intervention for just about everything... I'm quite glad he wasn't with me when I mentioned labouring at home to the consultant registrar... If he's heard the 20minute rant that ended with the words 'you have a matter of moments before your baby would die' then I think he would of had me admitted there and then for the duration.... He's assuming I'll be heading into hospital at the first twinge... I keep telling him that if I choose to go to hospital then it will be when I'm pushing and not before!

I'm the same as you FG, I'm hoping for no pain relief so whats the point in taking up a bed?
 THe registrar said that to you! Outrageous!

FG there's not really anything different at a consultant than a midwife really... If I were you though I wouldn't mention birthing options with them... Consultants are very anti anything natural as a rule, I think they would have us all in and induced with every intervention possible given half a chance... Sorry, meant to say.. All they do is read your notes and go over your blood pressure etc... Nothing interesting...

She did skinty, and I know I am an educated person with the ability to read evidence and for opinions for myself... I dread to think what a person with less confidence in themselves than me would think... Thankfully I know people in the hospital I could have a good vent about it too...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thanks - you're around about the same stage as me aren't you? Where'd the time go !!!!!! Only feels like a few weeks since my BFP!

Exam results due 20 January - if they are really good ot could take about 3 weeks off my due date:p !!! As for doing exams when pregnant - its amazing how much more relaxed i was about them knowing I had a much bigger priority to think about;)

you are about a month in front of me. I am 26 weeks this friday :D:D

good point you make about the exams though, i guess being pregnant at the same time puts things into perspective. of course you want to do well, but there other things that are important too.

just saw this and thought it was lovely what do you think! that explains why my house is always a mess lol!!

A Mother’s Wish I hope my child looks back on today And sees a mother who had time to play. There will be years for cleaning and cooking, But children grow up when you’re not looking. Tomorrow I’ll do all the chores you can mention But today, my baby needs time and attention. So settle down cobwebs; dust go to sleep, I’m cuddling my baby, and babies don’t keep.vid.gif

I haven't yet - still need to get the stuff for it. Bean is sorted (Nappies, outfit etc) but I'm not. A lot of the websites do a good checklist - labouring clothes, nice PJs for after (BF friendly), breast pads and maternity pads and toiletries I think covers it:confused:
