hope its not the spd for you then and it does get better! i have it so feel for you, i had it last time and got to see a reflexologist at the hospital which helped a little. i would ask if there is anything like that at your hospital. anything is worth a try when your hurting so much!!

hi mirrorimage0 - the website you can get a template letter from is www.direct.gov.uk go to the maternity section and you can personalise the information and get your letter.
you need to let work know when there are 15 weeks left before your EDD
hope that helps

Im just thankful Im not actually sick as i cant imagine what that will be like head down toilet for weeks! How miserable would that be?! bless you Mrs T.
Thanks hunOn the upside I don't think I've gained much weight yet
spoke to a coleague from work today and she's putting on the pounds and saying "at least you don't have that!" - to which I replied "Swap ya!"
Just about managed to eat half a jacket spud tonight with cheese but for some reason the nausea has definitely gotten worse again... it's like I had a slight dip in the intensity of the nausea and vomiting (didn't go away, just wasn't AS bad) and then this week it's come back with a vengance! Maybe it's stress?
Another up side is that I have sparkling loos! Seriously there is nothing like spending a lot of time hanging on to your loo to encourage you to clean it everyday... and as you're there anyway... (Have to admit to buying the flushable toilet duck cleaning thingies as can't face the toilet brush!)
Feely - if they don't offer you crutches then you can contact the local St Johns and Red Cross they have a "loan" service which might still be but certainly used to be "donations" for borrowing items. That's if they have any in stock ofcourseDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Ugh I think the baby blues have hit
I'm dead tearful today. I'm also a bit worried, when I was in hospital the midwife said I had a superficial perineal tear, she was in two minds if she should bother to put a stitch in or not. In the end she made it sound so slight i said that it wasn't sore so she decided not to bother. Now today, 7 days post birth I am feeling dead sore and itchy down there, so after my bath I got a mirror and had a look. i was horrified, the tear is complete front to back and has healed quite a bit in a big gaping V shape to the anal muscle sorry if tmi. I burst into tears, I feel deformed. Trouble is I doubt stitching now would do much good as it's healed almost completely. I know it's silly and I do have a lot of hormonal emotions going on but everytime I think about it, it makes me cry... talk about being left with a clowns pocket... sigh.
On top of that I have totally lost my appetite, I can't face food at all which isn't helping the milk supply at all. I managed to eat a couple of slices of toast today but that's it. Yesterday I forced down a mars bar just for the calories, I am still taking a multi vitamin so hopefully there is some nutrients going into the milk but i'm not getting much at all from expressing and have had to supliment it with a few bottles of formula because otherwise the poor child would starve.:A

aww Toto, I'm sure in a week or so it'll look fine :kisses3: (why don't we have a decent friend hug/kiss smilie  ) I know its hard, I was a complete mess with the blues. Make sure you talk to your partner about it and try to be strong you will feel better soon xx0
