  • OH is finally home from work (9am till 11:45pm - that is just too long a day!) so I can go to bed shortly too. Shall spend all day tomorrow in bed I think, need to recover from all the sitting I've done today.

Thanks for being there last night, I really just needed a friendly ear I think. Hubby came home from work at 12.30 last night and let me sleep for a bit even though he had a 6am start today. So I feel brighter today.

I am seeing the midwife for the last time (I think) today, so I'll chat with her and get her to look at the tear. i don't know why that seemed like the end of the world yesterday, but for some reason it did. I hope the baby blues will pass a bit now.

I still can't get lily to latch on, I've called the helpline and have followed their advice, I'm going to find a local counsellor today. She just isn't interested at all with the breast which is sad but I will keep trying. I'm still expressing but as I said yesterday there isn't much at the moment. So, today i will try the oats and will drink plenty, hopefully that'll improve things. i really really don't want to have to feed formula so will do everything I can to get thinks flowing a bit better.

    Anyway, thanks again everyone.

    Morning Toto,

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better today and if i can say you sound really positive.

I know for me, in just 'normal' life, as in not only when i am pregnant, my emotions can boil and boil and then it is just the smallest thing that sends me into floods of tears and thinking everything is hopeless. Perhaps something like that might be why the tear yesterday was such a big thing?

I can understand the worry of the tear it is still our body and all the changes it goes through, i know i feel very much out of control and not a feeling i like very much when it is 'your' body.

Hope you find someone to assist re the breastfeeding.

By the way, Lily is a beautiful name. One of my favs at the moment.

I hope as not even a first time mum (yet) I haven't spoken out of turn.

    xxxx

Thanks AF, of course you haven't spoken out of turn. From the BFP onwards we all have hormonal changes and worries. And sometimes just having someone to listen makes things 100 times better.

I have posted some more photos here if you all want to take a look at my little treasure. She is so worth it all, a million times over.

Really glad you're feeling better toto and I really do help that whoever you can see today can help get feeding established :)

There's a page here about milk supply http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/index.html

And this one is about pumping, http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/maintainsupply-pump.html

    They might help a bit?

Morning ladies, couple of things. If you want oats why not try the Oat So Simple porridge sachets. You tear the top off, pour the oats & stuff out (my fave, apple & blueberry) then fill the packet with milk to the line & nuke for 2.5-3mins. Perfect!

Someone asked about girl's names? I have millions but can't seem to think of any for boys. I like Honour, Romilly, Corrine, Carrie ... Now I've said that I can only think of four! We're going to have Joy as a middle name if we have another girl for Pete's sister as it's her middle name and she hasn't any kids but is a fab auntie. For boys I can only think of Max. Anyone got any ideas?

For those with a while to go Pumpkin Patch maternity have got a sale online and I've just discovered they have a couple of outlet stores at Cheshire Oaks and in Swindon. Not near me :-( but might be near someone else.

Have a good day. Must eat something (else) as the sickness is back...

Apparently the high nuchal fluid can possibly mean heart problems, I'm sure he's ok though as when I went for my CVS his nuchal fluid had decreased and was in the normal range, so I guess it's just a precaution.

do you have a name picked out yet SB

Yep, my son will be called Jamie Jack after both my deceased grandads :):D. I've mentioned before that I wanted a shortened name as I have a long name that I am never called and I don't really see the point?. And DH has been called a different name than whats on his birth certificate since he was born! :rotfl:.

Are you in a sharing mood, Caz?! Or anyone else?! ;)
