    Welcome back r.mac :hello:

Glad to hear you have a nice time.

I know what you mean about getting emtional when seeing hubby with a baby. I do that. Even with our older nieces/nephews it bring a lump to my throat.

Take it easy and order online from Mr T like you said. Wow 31 weeks, hasn't time flown!!

AF and Skinty - please stop talking about food! I've developed a really sweet tooth during my pg, but chips are a favourite too :D

    Arghhhhh - stop it!

I'm a sweet and savoury girl :o Only gain 4.5lbs so far. According to MW, I'm not supposed to gain anything really, so will have to be careful. If you ignore the weight of the baby and all associated bits, I'm actually losing weight. Still feel enormous now. Anyways, enough self pity.

What sort of place are you having the scan done? Is OH going with you?

    I'm going here
    http://www.beardmillclinic.com/

It's about an hour away and OH has taken half a day off to come with me. I'm dreading seeing an empty womb or a dead baby but I'd also rather know if there's a problem, and hopefully there won;t be and we will see a heartbeat :T

My friend just called to remind me she's coming round at 4.30 and the house is a tip and I'm not dressed! gotta go and do some housework! doesn't help that I'm clearing stuff out so have bags full of stuff for charity all over the house.

I'm also not sure I'm going to tell her I'm PG so have to hide everything.

Am I on everyone's ignore list? Or have I upset you all? Whenever I post on here it's like talking to an empty room. :(

Hi Skinty :hello: - we are probably all too busy eating to type!!

As for the sweet/savory debate, pre-pregnancy I was a sweet person, now I am a savory, especially pasties at the mo!! My faves at the mo are: Greggs Steak bake, Co Op Steak slice, Co Op chicken and mushroom slice, Proper Cornish pasties....This list could go on and on!

Oh no AF I missed you, I'm sorry but had to have a shower coz I'm actually going to leave the house again that's the 4th time in 4days!
Also sorry skinty I always try to respond but as I say hygiene had to come first ;) have you had any more thoughts on lotus birth? I read loads after you mentioned it and was pretty tempted but I know it's just not practical for us and the thought of having to wash it etc at least once a day was too much I think I'd feint at the sight of it _pale_

Molly I now NEED a gregs steak bake  but the nearest one is in the next town
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

I'm going to discuss lotus births with the midwife and then if they are allowed see what my mum and hubby think. I really like the idea but it may not be practical so I will see - there's plenty of time anyway.

House is now tidy but my back hurts and I'm tired. Doing some washing at the moment and need to have a shower before my friend comes.

Does a high BMI rule out having a home birth? With the whole pain relief thing, I'm wondering if it'd be better to just give birth at home.

I haven;t read anything to say that FG.

I'd love a home birth but my house is small with pale carpets and my cat might get a little too interested! :rotfl:

Can you call and ask your MW? I really don;t see why a high BMI would be an issue.
