The cord round the neck is only bad during labour because the cord can get squashed or pulled tight around them, while they're in the womb they often play with the cord, twiddle it round and stuff its fine as there is enough room in there to get untangled only bad towards the end when its a tight squeeze although I've never heard of someone needing a c/s because it had been spotted on a scan

    thanks for that Sami.

i was planning on looking into online tonight but i think my ebay account has been hacked into AGAIN so i am trying to sort that out

Well I went shopping today and got myself some iron rich foods :D
rice krispie squares are on offer woo! I'm not sure if the iron survives being covered in marshmallow but hey ho they taste good!

Feelie i totally agree its great having a pg friend! I was a touch down hearted when my friends had their babies recently and other ttc friends weren't pg but then some great news, a friend who had sworn off children told me she was a week ahead of me:j when she told me I actually screamed out loud and frightened my poor little son:o

Why do people seem to be able to hack ebay and paypal so easily:confused:

oohh Mrs Tine you are such an oracle I know that if I say I actually want to know you'll be able to tell me! I'm happy with "their security leaves a lot to be desired" but go on if you want to...

all sorted now thankfully. just wonder why ebay uk doesn't have a livehelp section but at least the american site sorts it out for you when you go on there.

OK anyone not interested in beign bored to death - skip this post!

I've working in IT security for about 3 1/2 years - and by that I mean working for one of the largest anti virus companies :) (so tech support...)
Yes ebay and paypal security is *sigh* interesting... BUT in a lot of cases it's peoples own security that lets them down - you can have great AV software but if you don't install the MS security updates then you're one a one way street to a security breach :) Main things that people go for if they manage to access a backdoor? Yup... online banking details, but ebay and paypal are probably more popular! Why? Because Banks take theft and fraud VERY seriously and have a lot more money invested in tracking down people who steal from them (and as most thefts now are covered by them then they get a bit narky!).

Not saying that it's always the case but VERY often it is either that someone has used another PC (popped by a friends, logged in to do something and friends computer ain't secure... whoopsie...) or even their own computer.
If an account has been hacked more than once I'd say there is a security issue somewhere closer to home... I have (touch wood!) never had my paypal or ebay accounts hacked. But I have a paranoid view of security (for some odd reason).

It is estimated that in the US the online fraud through hacked machines (or bots) is now worth more than the illegal drug industry... now THAT is a scary thought!

Best advice I can give is get a decent anti-virus software. Update your computer daily with any security patches or new virus pattern files. DON'T click on links in mails... EVER! EEEEEEEEVER!!!
Never open files unless you feel certain that they really came from that person...
You might think I'm stating the obvious but why do you think that there are sooo many more phishing mails in the mail boxes these days? If people didn't click the links then the scammers wouldn't spend time sending the mails... :)
Regularly (every couple of weeks or so...) run one of the free online virus scans (all the big AV companies do them) in addition to whatever you normally have installed. Once a virus is on your computer it is much harder for the software to detect it because the REALLY clever ones either instruct the software to ignore it or disable it but makes it appear to be running. An online scan isn't running from your machine so no infection can interfer with what it finds :)

Bored yet? Can you tell this is one of my favourite subjects? :D

If ever you think any of yoru accounts have been accessed then immediately change your passwords! Make them totally random and write them down - they will be safer written down than too easy to guess :)

  • AF, I have my 37w scan tomorrow afternoon so if I remember I will [STRIKE]grill[/STRIKE] ask the sonographer where the cord is and would they know if there was a problem! :D.

Really excited but also scared about what the outcome is going to be as I only have 3w left and not sure what my feelings will be if they want to induce early!.
